  • "Wonderful place; lovely, peaceful and natural setting."

Quiet. Well equipped. My friend and I stayed 3 nights whilst we walked some of The Ridgeway and was ideal location for that. We both wanted a good soak in the bath after our walk days and I had chosen this property over others because it had a bath. This was the only disappointment. The hot water would not adequately fill one bath without running tepid, let alone two baths consecutively. You feel a bit daft when most of you is above the water line so was unable to linger and relax. Although the owners did suggest a remedy, this didn't really work. First world problems I know but worth mentioning. I would stay again though :)

Thank you for your review and we are sorry to you found the water lacking heat. We have now rectified the problem so now abundance of hot water..Thank you for staying and we are glad you enjoyed your stay ..Caro & James Property Owner

Delightful setting away from it all but only a short walk into Marlborough. Lots of interesting places to visit nearby - Avebury, Stonehenge, locks at Devizes etc and plenty of walking. We were greeted by one of the most generous welcome packs ever, and we have stayed in many cottages over the years. Highly recommend.

  • "We had the most amazing stay at the Barn over Christmas."

It was lovingly decorated, equipped with absolutely everything one may need and immaculately clean. When we arrived we were met with a roaring log fire, a bowl of fruit and fridge stocked with essentials. The location of the Barn is excellent - slightly tucked away, but still in close proximity to all the beautiful landmarks - Marlborough high street with variety of shops and restaurants, Avebury Manor and henge and Silsbury Hill. The owners are very welcoming and super responsive, but also unobtrusive. All in all, we had the most enjoyable time there and are hoping to stay there again in the future. Highly recommended!
