  • "A delightful cottage."

Beautifully appointed. Entrance to property is difficult. Two second floor bedrooms difficult to reach But a very successful holiday stay. Warm and comfortable. Good location.

  • "A memorable stay in an amazing house."

This is a great place to stay. It is peaceful, roomy, warm, well laid out and caters for everyone including the family pet. My wife is raving about the quality of the bed linen.....it may cost me a fortune! The weather was a bit mixed during our stay but we were comfortable and warm with lots to entertain us including games for the kids. This is a lovely area and staying in such a fine house added to the enjoyment of our stay. A special word of thanks to our host Lynn who was always there for us on the end of the phone if we had a query. Thank you also for the welcoming gift.

  • "A lovely cottage in a very convenient location, with easy access to Hereford, Ludlow, Hay, Ross and the surrounding beautiful countryside."

Clean, tidy and very well-equipped with a lot of character. The owner was very helpful throughout. Wellington village itself seemed to be a friendly place judging by our interactions with the locals, and a special mention for the people who run the local shop, who were great.

  • "We had a lovely week in a Notts House."

The cottage kitchen is well equipped and we had everything we needed. The cottage is lovely and quirky but also warm and cosy. We enjoyed the back garden which was a sun trap in the afternoon. A pleasant river side walk lead to the well supplied village shop. We also played tennis one day by contacting the club chair picking up a key. There are nice walks from the village along quiet roads and fields. A very nice time was had by all. Thank you.

The cottage was clean and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s located in a beautiful village and we had easy access to places like Hay on Wye and Ludlow. The instructions were really clear on arrival and when leaving. The owner is lovely and really helpful. Highly recommended.

  • "We had a fantastic stay for 10 days."

The property is unique with its ancient twisted beams but completely livable mod-cons. Lovely and warm and quiet (although bell parctice in the church is interesting)! We needed to visit my elderly aunt in Hereford and will no doubt come again!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Notts House .. always good to hear and looking forward to welcoming you back if you return to the area. Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. Property Owner

  • "Lovey property well kitted out for all your needs."

Clean and tidy on arrival, (hope it was on our departure). Good location between the towns of Herford and Leominster but still very peaceful. Nice mix of facilities both in and outside the property. If you're looking at booking this property and it meets your needs then don't hesitate, you won't find much better.

  • "A group of us stayed at Notts Cottage for a long weekend in February and we were not disappointed with our stay."

Due to the recent flooding in the area the owner made contact a week prior to our stay to discuss the situation. Further contact was made just before the visit to ensure we had all the information we could possibly need-this was in addition to the helpful info pack in the property. The cottage is characterful and has charm. The layout is quirky; the top floor rooms have enough space to be comfortable and all rooms were immaculately clean. The lounge is a lovely, cosy place to relax and unwind. The kitchen certainly becomes the ‘heart of the home’ with the range and spacious, sturdy table. There are character features which make your stay feel that little more special. There’s plenty of space for parking and what’s not to love about a stroll through the adjacent cemetery? The village shop is fantastic and the locals we encountered were all really friendly. We would definitely stay at Notts Cottage again. Thank you for making it such a great place to have a rest!

  • "Beds comfy, linen was lovely (it was white company-nice touch!"

). Loved the quirky, old house I would recommend staying here. Just enough hot water for the guests to get showered (quickly!), not enough for the post roast-dinner washing up. Other than this it was perfect, really enjoyed our stay here. Please note that the local pub has closed in Wellington so there isn't a pub within walking distance of the house- this should be updated on the website as this was a requirement of our search. House was clean and well maintained (no bin bags provided so take your own!). Perfect for a family get together/celebration!

  • "We stayed as here as 2 families ,being 7/8 adults in total ."

The cottage is very warm, with only 1 main living room to squeeze 8 adults into . The kitchen is a good size with a large table but no main food storage cupboard . Their are ample toilets and showers . The first floor bedrooms were very comfy and plenty of room . The 2nd floor is actually a converted attic room which is very cramped for adults with a spiral staircase leading up to the rooms . The village has a good shop but no pub . There are good walks from here and plenty to do in the surrounding area .
