"This was a lovely chalet, very comfortable and in a lovely location."
Very quiet. Fabulous. Would definitely stay again.
"This cottage suited us very well."
It is very quiet, in lovely grounds and as the weather was lovely we could sit outside and enjoy it. It is very close to RSPB Frampton Marsh which is why I booked it. Not much else around without travelling but that's why I booked it. Decor is very old fashioned but again it suited us and was very comfortable. Host was very ameanable without being in your face. "Lovely, large property with everything you need for a relaxing break."
It is well equipped and clean, just a bit dated in some parts. It is quite remote and you need a car to get anywhere but that did not cause any problems and there are some lovely places to visit close by.
"Very nice and friendly."
"25 March - 1 April 2023 Initially the accommodation appeared dated and a bit tired but it may be this which led to it feeling a most comfortable, cosy and welcoming place."
Comfortable bed, good reading lights in both sitting room and bedroom. Well equipped kitchen (although solid electric hot plates took some getting used to after an induction hob at home) AND..........a TV which didn't take the mind of an scientist to discover how to change channels! It was unfortunate that my visit was soon after an unsucessful roof repair which, as there was quite a bit of rain, resulted in a wall in the sitting room being damp: I have a keen sense of smell so for me it was the only real downside to this accommodation. Lovely friendly welcome from the owner plus the provision of delicious lemon drizzle cake, milk, coffee & teabags. Close to RSPB Frampton Marsh and RSPB Freiston Shore plus lots to see in Boston (The Stump, Guildhall & Fydell House) although in my opinion the shopping centre was a bit run down. The Village Church Farm in Skegness was also worth visiting. I enjoyed & was very satisfied with my stay at Le Chalet and hope to return again - when the roof is repaired!!
"This property has an olde worlde touch with a comfort rating much higher than expected."
"Cosy cottage in quiet position, with lovely garden for our dog."
Owner very helpful and left tea, milk and cake on our arrival.
"Great 5 night getaway friendly host, Fans provided for hot weather."
Ideally located for our stay with any amount of shops/ food services within a 5 minute drive/ or to have delivered. We both fully enjoyed our visit thanks.
"Lovely cottage in Nice rural area, very comfortable with excellent dacilities"
"A lovely cottage with picturesque surroundings."
Will definitely book stay again.
"Our second visit to Le Chalet."
A really nice comfy place to stay. Whatever you might need is there for your use. Very nice to be able to make a cuppa on arrival - and a lively slice of cake to go with it. A home-from-home and would definitely look to stay again (if available) when back in the area.
"The furnishings are a little dated, but this was a lovely spacious place to stay, and in a quiet location but close to main roads."
"Apart from a little difficulty in finding Le Chalet in the dark all went smoothly and our welcome like the West Wing warm."
"Everything was fine and there were no problems."
However, I disliked the assumption made in the emails from Sykes that my stay was a holiday, and that I was going to "relax and have a wonderful time". This was a business stay, not pleasure. I think the tone set should be more neutral and informative, and less sycophantic!
"Did not stay arrived house was dirty aged and smelt had to find a hotel to stay in , contacted Sykes within 20 minutes no refund or help told we should have raised the issue with the elderly lady and taken photos."
Poor discription property not what we expect from this company
"Very comfortable accommodation with lots of extras provided."
Right on the doorstep of Frampton Marsh perfect location for birdwatchers, photographers and walkers.
"We will definitely be returning at some point."
"It was a lovely cottage in a very peaceful setting."
The interior was very spacious which I was pleasantly surprised to find. The only complaint I have is that the sofa and armchairs were far too uncomfortable to sit on and we had to take the kitchen chairs into the lounge to watch T.V.
"We had a lovely stay at the West wing Le Chalet, it was set in a relaxing and quiet location with lots of wild life to be seen every day in the garden."
The accommodation was excellent everything you might need was provided, the beds were very comfortable , we would be very happy to stay here in the future.
"It was nice."
"We were warm and comfortable and had everything we needed."
Milk in the fridge and cake on the table to greet us. The owner was available if we needed her but otherwise kept to herself. One thing to note is that you can't get the car very close to the cottage so if it's raining hard or you have heavy luggage this could be a problem for some people. We had neither heavy cases nor heavy rain so we were fine. Other than that we loved our stay here and are hoping to come back again next year.
"Holiday cottage was very clean if a little dated and the hostess was very welcoming"
"The perfect getaway."
Owner attentive without being intrusive. Old fashioned but perfect for us. Memories of a time gone by when the world was a better place. Gorgeous garden, perfect location. Thank you.
"We were made very welcome and the property was comfortable and fairly clean, if a bit dated."
We were frustrated by a very slow filling lavatory cistern and a DVD player that seemed not to work. We were also concerned at the lack of recycling, and felt that some kitchen surfaces and equipment were not as clean as would be desirable given the Covid situation. Information about the area (shops etc) was very basic, and we would have been rather lost without the internet - which was ok.
"Our stay at West Wing was comfortable and enabled us to explore the surrounding area."
The accommodation was cosy and well equipped for a self catering stay. There were plenty of cleaning materials/ products provided as well as Towels, Flannels, Soaps and Shower gel plus Hair Dryer in bedroom cupboard. We very much enjoyed the evenings out on the veranda when weather permitted. There is a large flat screen TV in the cosy living room along with some DVD's, Games and Books. RSPB Frampton Marsh very close by and a short drive to Kirton there is a Co op for supplies. It was unfortunate that we did not get to see much of the owners due to the Covid situation. We did feel that with a little modernisation West Wing could offer so much more.
"The accommodation was spacious and cosy."
The kitchen was well equipped with all the usual stuff, (the frying pan could do with replacing). We especially loved having the comfortable outdoor chairs to put on the sunny veranda & free access to the huge garden to find shade from the, sometimes, very hot sun. It made for a peaceful break in this manic time of Covid. Having Frampton RSPB reserve on the doorstep was a huge plus which we really enjoyed.
"Beautiful lounge, comfortable facilities, lovely views, cosy even in February!"
Very nice homemade cake and teabread to welcome us.
"This is my 4th visit to West Wing Le Chalet - 2017 - 2018 - 2019 - 2020."
Once again I was made very welcome by Mr & Mrs Parker. On arrival I was left Cake, Milk, Coffee & Water. This is a very nice place to stay - hence my four visits - I will be booking to stay again next year (2021)
"More outside lighting and being able to get your vehicle nearer the property."
The owner Janet was a lovely lady who made us feel very welcome.
"A spacious cottage in a very nice area easy access to the countryside and towns."
Friendly owner and lovely cake left for our arrival.
"Very nice cottage, spacious, good twin beds, good shower, very slow speed wifi which gave email problems, no washing machine, very quiet, sometime sa bit warm in the living room as only two little windows can be opened, pleasant owner, close to Boston, perfect for cycling."
"Excellent accommodation in quiet area, need car as public transport locally is poor."
only criticism is that there was no clothes washing machine
"Very peaceful surroundings mainly tweeting birds and the surroundings were well ..."
Very peaceful surroundings mainly tweeting birds and the surroundings were well and truly beautiful would certainly book again and would recommend it also handy to reach other destinations
"Very welcoming owners area excellent for bird watching and nature reserves but did not enjoy the towns"
"Very pleasant and comfortable accommodation with everything provided and all of high quality."
Friendly proprietor. Very reasonable cost.
"Comfortable cottage but could do with more water pressure, shower very weak."
"Our second visit."
Comfortable location out in the countryside but easy access to Spalding and Boston. Great having a bath with lots of hot water. Nice cosy lounge.
"This is my third visit to West Wing Le Chalet (2017 - 2018 - 2019) and I have already booked it again for 2020."
Janer & Bill, the owners always make me very welcome and leave me Cakes, Milk, Bottled Water, Tea Bags & Coffee on arrival. It's warm & comfortable, plenty of towels, tea towels, soap, kitchen & toilet rolls. This year had a new large flat screen tv in the lounge. ***** Norman Ward Market Deeping.
"This was a spacious set of rooms containing almost everything we needed."
Missing items were trivial and we easily managed without them. A problem with the TV was fixed on the same day and a new replacement TV was supplied and fitted the next day. There was a more than ample supply of towels and toiletries. In a cold week there were sufficient heaters to keep the rooms cosy. We have no hesitation in recommending this property and would certainly try to rebook if we return to this area.
"It was all very satisfactory."
"The property was much more spacious than expected and set in lovely grounds."
It was lovely to sit either in the lounge or outside and appreciate the birds and squirrels within the garden. Our dog loved the decked area to sit out on and soak up the September sunshine. The choice of bath and shower was lovely and the WiFi was a real bonus. The toiletries and amount of towels couldn’t be faulted, neither could the teabags, coffee, milk and bottles of water left in the kitchen. A couple of suggestions for improvement are more coat hangers in the wardrobe and a hairdryer. A more defined and secure area for a dog would be good as the garden is open plan and shared with the owners. In general it’s a very nice place to have a relaxing break away. We hope to return next year.
"Extremely warm welcome, very comfortable bed."
"Everything was great, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and the comfort at the cottage was wonderful."
We would definitely choose the West Wing again should we go back to Lincolnshire.
"A quiet countryside setting with walks from the gate."
A good base to explore local market towns and museums.
"Le Chalet gives spacious and very comfortable accommodation."
It is in a secluded location and is set in a large garden and has views over picturesque countryside. Lots of easy walks and interesting towns nearby. We had a lovely holiday.
"Really enjoyed our stay at west wing le."
Chalet. It’s with be one of the best places we have been. Very nice owners very friendly.but at the same time gave you your privacy. But to be honest thay that nice people wish we had seen them more
"West Wing Le Chalet was nice and cosy when the beast from the east came we was lovely and warm we spent 2 months there February and March it’s nice and quiet and very peaceful yet only 5 minutes from the centre of Boston."
Enjoyed long walks around the near by countryside. Janett and Bill very helpful will certainly go back very soon
"18th January 2018 - 1st February 2018 Bertie my Basset Hound and I enjoyed our second two week relaxing holiday here."
Again we were made very welcome. Cakes, Milk & Bottled Water were left for us on arrival and later we were given home made scones with cream and jam. We are so pleased with this property, I have already booked another two weeks for next year, making it our third visit. Norman Ward - Market Deeping - Lincolnshire.
"It was brilliant place for a relaxing get away from it all."
Everything you needed was there A bigger tv would good . Great garden for the dog, but not fenced off. good job she does not wander. . Only downside for the dog is that we could not walk our her ,so missed out on our 2 hours walkies every , road ways just not safe as no pathway whatsoever. Did try but cars in too much in a hurry, and no place to step to the side. Lovely couple there and left us to ourselves even with a connecting door. Thank you Janet and Bill.
"Bill and Janet made us very welcome, alway ready to help with any questions about area."
Le Chalet was amazing, so well equipped and so cosy, beds were extremely comfortable, home from home Would definitely recommend and would look no further if wanting to book a holiday cottageif we happen to be visiting the area again Thank you Bill and Janet
"The only thing that marred this holiday was the roads closed around the area on the A16, due to new infrastructure being put in for a new football stadium and 500 new homes."
Alright if you know the area!

Outside of the market you can enjoy a network of medieval lanes with a good selection of independent and national shops surrounding an impressive 14th century church, one of the East of England’s most imposing landmarks.
