  • "The house iis beautiful and a perfect size for our party of 17."

The location and proximity to the beach was really lovely. Great to have 2 Hot tubs. The bedrooms were a good size. Beds and bedding were of a good quality and very comfortable. Not wanting to be critical and just a a few Ideas would be having a couple more large serving dishes and big serving spoons. This would have been useful as we were serving up large quantities of food particularly as it was Christmas. We spent a lot of time in the big kitchen which was always warm and wonderful. Not sure if time clock was wrong due to a power cut we had but it seemed cold upstairs in top bedrooms. The batteries had gone in thermostat in bedrooms 9 and 10 in top floor. But this was easily sorted. Laura responded very quickly to any queries, even on Christmas day when the power cut happened. We enjoyed our stay very much even felt emotional when we had to leave.

Thank you so much for the lovely words Debra. It means the world to us. It's wonderful to hear you had a great Christmas, especially when the village power went out! We will get the extra items for the kitchen and investigate the temp in the upper rooms. Please do keep in touch as we'd love to have you back! Property Owner

Perfect location with the beach a stones throw away. The house perfect for a large group. (22 family members) Laura, the owner went out of her way to ensure our comfort and answered our queries ( which were numerous) tirelessly. Wouldn’t hesitate in returning.

Thank you so much for the lovely words, I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. If there is anything more we could do to get 5* in all areas, do feel free to get in touch Property Owner

  • "We LOVED our stay here."

The property is nothing short of amazing and is perfect for large groups. The kitchen was the ideal space for bringing everyone together, while the multitude of other comfortable spaces meant people could break away in smaller groups when it was needed. All the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with ample bedding, and you couldn't hear much noise from them either - so no disturbance from the early risers or the late nighters! The setting is just gorgeous, as is the surrounding area, and we had a good mix of staying in (can thoroughly recommend bringing in a private chef!) and visiting the local sights of Barmouth, Harlech, Portmadog and Portmerion. There's some absolutely delightful places to eat and drink around, which were helpfully highlighted by the super friendly and communicative owners, who really helped elevate our stay with well thought-out extra little touches. All in all it was absolute pleasure, and we can't wait to come back and visit again!

  • "The property was amazing."

Every room was as good as the last. The property was clean and well kept and accommodates 24 people comfortably. The garden and amenities were fantastic. A short walk to the beach and a short drive to the shops. The only thing to consider for future is to either install a large American style fridge freezer or otherwise put in a standalone freezer inthe utility room as the freezer currently in the kitchen a much too small to accommodate for such a big group. We would definitely book again (once bigger freezer is put in!).

Thank you so much for your feedback, really wonderful to hear. It's great to hear you enjoyed your stay. Funnily enough, we have now put in additional freezer space and we'd be delighted to have you back! Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Bennar Fawr, it was a very well equipped and laid out house and very cosy (we had one very wet and windy day weather wise)."

The house was beautiful with lots of space for a big group. We had the pleasure of having a private catered dinner by chef Lewis Keane, his food was fabulous and he really made the weekend extra special, the food was thoroughly enjoyed by all guests. We climbed Mount Snowdon whilst visiting, the house is about an hour drive away from here if you are wanting to do this. The beach near the house was absolutely beautiful, perfect for dog walks and very close to the property. Laura was also very accommodating and helpful whilst planning our trip. Would highly recommend and return.

Hello Elizabeth, thank you for your lovely words. It is a great base for exploring Snowdonia and the beautiful Gwynedd coastline. We'd love to welcome you and your party back. Many thanks, Laura Property Owner

We were having an early 70th birthday celebration for my husband with our daughters and their families so there were 16 in total and the enormous kitchen became our hub for a lot of the time as it is so light and airy. Obviously the hot tubs were also very much enjoyed but we also visited local walks places we went to when our daughters were little so our grandchildren could also enjoy them. Great memories made x

  • "Really good clean property."

Garden was a bit messy when arrived Chairs all over the place. And a few bits of rubbish about. We had a good re arrange and sorted all this. Lights also didn’t work so we had to go to the fuse box as tripped out. In One of the rooms a load of paint had flaked off ceiling and gone onto floor. House had everything you needed we just all thought a little welcome pack explaining how to use things would be handy such as ovens and tvs as we struggled for a while to get one tv working as internet wouldn’t connect. It was advertised for 24 but we had 23 and still struggled for beds as the sofa beds were tiny for some of the lads. (I’d say more 20) Overall we all liked the property location was good, the beds were super comfy and well presented. House was clean when arrived and easy to get into. Hot tubs were also really good some of the best we’ve used. We would defiantly stay again.

Hello Alistair, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I contacted the changeover team about the garden as, despite the challenging weather undoubtedly being to blame, it is not acceptable that this had not been rectified. We have resolved the issue with the ceiling, again I am very sorry that this wasn't spotted on the morning inspection. I am also very sorry you were not able to locate the housebook, it is on a tablet in the entrance hall and was emailed to you prior to your stay, however we will endeavour to make it more visible in future and leave it with the welcome hamper we provided. The listing explains the layout of house and number of beds, sofa beds etc, and the housebook has a floorplan, we are sorry that this layout was not ideal for your group on this occasion. It is really lovely to hear you enjoyed the comfy beds and our lovely hot tubs. Do get in touch if your would like to stay again, we'd love you show we can address all the issues raised. Best wishes, Laura Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful time, but all, young and old found the kitchen very noisy for meals, with a lot of echo."

Maybe curtains and some panels on the wall would help? For 24 people there was a woeful supply of serving dishes, large saucepans, and 1 cafetiere and 1 kettle seemed crazy for so many. Otherwise it all worked beautifully. Some plaster fell off the wall behind the bannister going up to the top floor. Also as it is a big house, and some groups might bring someone to help with the cooking I think a few items such as lemon squeezer, baking dishes, and maybe a wand or food processor would be sensible.

What a house! Absolutely gorgeous, we couldn’t have asked for more. The location and views were beautiful, the local people were friendly, so close to the beach with the added bonus of being pet friendly... Our group was made up of adults and children, 15 people in total and there was plenty of space for everyone to engage as a family but also plenty of rooms to have a little piece and quite. The hot tubs and sauna are added perks but honestly we couldn’t fault a thing. Would love to revisit again soon. A huge Thank you from all the Keating family. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
