Owner contacted myself just after I had booked it etc I had to contact owner a few days before we arrived to see if we could arrive a little earlier that was fine. Off street parking not a problem at all only a very short walk less than 30 seconds to cottage. Blacksmiths Arms in village lovely pub went 3 times . Only one thing to really day is the Village Store shop only opens Friday, Saturday & Sunday but Stokesley just up the road and Guisborough 20 mins away have a good number of shops if needed. Only problem is you are a bit to far away from a few places near to the seaside other than that we really enjoyed it.

Can't think of many improvements for the owner. We couldn't really figure out the heaters so it ended up a bit hotter than we would like, (and wasted the owners energy). So clearer instructions would be useful.

Also the cupboard in bathroom wouldn't close. I know it was listed but a washing machine would have been more useful than a dishwasher.

Thank you for staying at Cosy Cottage, I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and highlighting the bathroom door handle and the two loose screws in the dinning room chairs . If you had called or messaged me I would have been more than happy to come straight down and tighten the screws. I am puzzled by the comment about the cupboard door in the bathroom not closing because it does close . The facilities are as stated in the details provided by Sykes so I feel it is a little unfair to down grade me by so much when the facilities are “as stated “ I am very sorry that the bathroom handle came loose but it does not mean the whole cottage is badly maintained. Wonderful area for a break. We visited Staithes, Whitby, Cleveland Way walks, the Gate house to the old castle on the hill and the lovely old church and the nearby reservoir walks. Our Jack Russell soon settled in the college and enjoyed a few of the dog treats left by the owner.
