A village and civil parish located in Somerset, Bishop's Lydeard can be found in the district of Somerset West and Taunton. The village benefits from easy access into the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as being within close reach of the coast for all matters of attractions. Bishop's Lydeard boasts a range of historic wonders worth exploring, with the mid 18th century Lydeard House being a particular marvel for its Grade II* listing, as well as the Bishops Lydeard Mill, once one of two, now you can experience The Bishops Lydeard Mill and Rural Life Museum with its overshot waterwheel and status as a Grade II listed building. The museum discusses the traditional trades and crafts of the mill, such as a wheelwright's shop, cooper's shop, saddler's shop, blacksmith's shop and a Victorian kitchen, well-worth seeing while in the area.
