  • "Lovely little hut surrounded by beautiful fields with a lovely canal walk close by."

Great for the dogs with enclosed garden. Hut itself well equipped with everything you need including extras such as firewood for the fire pit and telescope for viewing the stars ! Lovely owner too who helped us into the hut and gave us a tour of where we were staying.

  • "This was our 2nd time at the Rabbit Hill Hut and we had a lovely time and will certainly be back again."

The hut is very comfortable, cosy and clean, with great views all around. We enjoyed sitting around the fire-pit, in the evening, after a good day's walk on the hills. If you enjoy walking and wildlife you couldn't ask for a better location. Tucked away in a very private and quiet position you can enjoy the outdoors, whatever the weather; even if it rains you can sit out under the covered outdoors area and soak up the scenery. The canal and its towpath, and the disused railway line, which is a national cycle/walking route, are a short 10 - 15 minutes downhill walk from the hut. We walked into Abergavenny (lovely market town) in under 1 hr and 20 minutes. The local pub at Govilion, less than 20 mins walk, has recently changed chef and the food was absolutely delicious with very generous portions. We ate there twice during our stay. In summary, if you fancy the country experience, but don't want to sacrifice comfort , the Rabbit Hill Hut ticks all the boxes. The hosts are brilliant, friendly and helful, but not intrustive.

  • "Staying for a week was a mistake, only suitable for a couple of nights."

Lacks hooks, bathroom mirror and indoor bin. Only provided 2 mugs, 2 dinner plates and, in our case, 1 small plate. Not adequate as have to wash up every time you made a drink. Not sufficient work space and no drainer. The outside area was unkempt and dirty. Don't think had been swept out since Winter. Firepit still had old coals in it and was full of water. On the plus side, bed very comfortable and views great.

  • "I was fortunate to find the Rabbit Hill Hut."

It was very comfortable for me and my two dogs. The weather wasn't brilliant, but even storms didn't spoil our stay. In fact, the driving winds and lashing rain made the 'hut' feel even cosier.

  • "This is one of the best Huts we have ever stayed at."

The layout inside had been really cleverly designed to make best use of the space. At one end of the hut you have a proper-sized powerful shower with WC and basin. At the opposite end you have a very comfortable double 'Captain's' Cabin bed with room for storage underneath and a great view from the window; in-between you have the sink, cooker, fridge with freezer compartment and everything as accurately described in the details, The place was very clean and tidy and the space was bigger than we expected; definitely not the size of a rabbit hut! But what sets this hut above all others is the covered outdoor space, separate from the hut itself, and equipped with a table, benches and sun-loungers. Although, the roof of this had a few leaks, it never stopped us from eating all our meals there and sitting under it, even on a rainy evening. We also enjoyed the chiminea and the generous supply of logs in the patio area outside the hut..The owners, Keith, Darren and Nicola were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, very quiet and private and easy to reach the canal and cycle routes nearby by foot. We hardly used the car the whole time we were there. We had a good meal in the local pub (15 - 20 mins walk) and also enjoyed longer walks to Crickhowell and Abergavenny using the canal paths. We will definitely, be back again next year.
