  • "Wonderful accommodation in a lovely little complex."

Well equipped kitchen with everything you need for a holiday from home. Swimming pool made it extra special. Would have been nice to have some garden furniture to use as we had a couple of lovely sunny winter mornings. Owners have made it extra special for children with play area and fairy trail and activities to keep them busy

  • "I have just returned from a three night stay at Hemel House which was arranged as an annual catch up with a group of work friends."

The accommodation exceeded our expectations and the location was perfect for walking. There was everything we needed to help us unwind and refuel. The interior is finished to a very high standard; it was warm comfortable and met all of our needs. We made use of the hot tub and beautiful pool. The additional welcome pack of provisions is also a lovely touch. I have no hesitation about recommending the property to others and am aware one of the guests is very keen to return with her family. We have made new memories to treasure! Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

I found this property and it was perfect and certainly more than met our expectations. We have had a fantastic weekend. The views are stunning and the cottage itself was immaculate with some lovely little touches - especially the Christmas Tree. We loved it so much that we have already booked for the same time next year.

Thank you for your fantastic feedback, we really do appreciate your time. I am so happy to hear you had a wonderful stay with us and that you’re coming back next year to us. Property Owner

We will definitely be back.. plenty of room for us all & very comfortable. My only comment is there could be better drying facilities e.g a tumble dryer. With there being a hot tub and swimming pool, lots of towels are used and need to get dry. Apart from that, it was perfect!

  • "The welcome pack was lovely and enjoyed by all."

The house had great facilities and spacious for our family of 7. The heated pool had great views and we used our sessions freely during our stay. Our grandson enjoyed the play area and feeding the ducks. The hot tub was a great addition to the property and was used on many occasions. The walk to the beach was about a 1 mile through the fields. We loved our stay in North Farm cottages and hope to return again another time.

We thought the pictures didn’t do it any justice, as a group we were so impressed with the house and the facilities. The fresh bread, butter, milk and orange juice was a lovely touch and the views were fabulous! We are already planning our next stay and we have recommended it to other friends and family.

  • "We stayed over Christmas and had a lovely time - cottage was perfect for our family of 7 adults and one 2 year old, it was well equipped with a very thoughtful welcome pack and is in a great location."

Having use of the swimming pool was a great plus point for us - fabulous to have these facilities to ourselves. The adjoining bedrooms are perhaps the only minus point; but we knew about this on booking - would work perfectly for a family / parents but not so much for adults. Note to the owners; the bottom step is virtually invisible even when the hall is lit - three of us missed this step and fell ! Some drawers in bedrooms / hooks in bathrooms would be useful but not a complaint - just an observation.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay in this lovely property. The location is fantastic and the swimming pool is always a hit with our guests. The bottom step is part of the stairs. We have good lighting in that area and have never had this feedback before. Once again, thank you for your valuable and constructive feedback Property Owner

  • "We have stayed in the same cottage for a few years now."

The only thing that is frustrating which I know is standard is the late check in and early check out. It would be great if there was an option to even pay a little extra to get in earlier? Last year we were there when it was Storm Arwen and Richard the owner was great at bringing us extra logs. This year the furniture had changed and unfortunately there was not enough seating in the lounge area. However, after contacting Richard he kindly came along with another sofa as they were waiting for delivery of another. The bread, butter, milk, orange juice, tea and coffee were useful and a we were thrilled to see the place all decorated, Christmas Tree and all! We have already booked up again for next year. Thank you!

  • "Very disappointed in standard of bedding and towels."

Bedding was bobbled it was so worn and towels very thin and tiny. Only tiny striped towels for hot tub. The carpet in the down stairs bedroom was stained. The cottage had been recommended to us and previous occupants had had fluffy towels and robes in the past. The times for check in and check out were very confusing one email said 3 pm check in and 10am checkout others said 4 pm and 11 am.... We tried to phone the numbers left in the book re the hot tub and times but none were ‘ available’ which is not good.No one came to see if we were ok throughout our stay ,we were left to work everything out.. We only had access to the pool for one hour each morning which was not in the booking details. Finally one of the cottages opposite us has their toilet right in the window . It is not pleasant sitting in your lounge seeing people very obviously at their ablutions! Given the price for the cottage which is supposed to be 4 to 5 star rating I was very disappointed. The cottage is beautifully laid out and in a perfect location and small details and personal touches would put it up to 4 star but in present condition I really couldn’t rate it above a 3.

The cottages in general are great and the pool and the system used is wonderful. We have stayed now in two of the general cottages. This cottage is beautiful and spacious. I would personally just upgrade the bedding and beds. The upstairs bedroom in the joined room is not great. One couple had to have the walk through room which didnt hother us at all but i can see why it would put some off. Lots of bathrooms which was a plus and the hot tub was a real highlight. The beach is a good 20 minutes walk away but well worth it as it is one of the prettiest in England. The only negative is the appaling wifi. It is shared between several cottages on site and if anyone else (in your cottage or otherwise) has so much as the wifi switched on nobody else can access it (even checking facebook on your phone was impossible). Other than that it was a fantastic stay.
