The Property

On the site of the former gate lodge to Glenville Manor House, this delightful dormer cottage enjoys an elevated position at the entrance to Glenville, County Cork. Built in an attractive, traditional style, elements of this Glenville cottage echo the period of the former gate lodge it now replaces. In the kitchen there are exposed ceiling beams, slate flooring, a Belfast sink and a farmhouse-style kitchen as well as a warming solid fuel stove, while the sitting room has an open fire in an antique fireplace and airy double height ceilings. The sun room in this Glenville cottage overlooks the garden, and is a great place to relax on a sunny afternoon. The area surrounding this Glenville cottage has lots to keep the whole family busy, including squash and handball in the village itself, a children's playground, golf courses at Mallow and Fermoy, Blarney Castle, home to the famous Blarney Stone of Eloquence, and Cork City, easily accessible by bus, and a great day out!
