Less than 10 miles away is the ancient city of Hereford which dates back to the 7th century, boasting a magnificent cathedral which displays the world famous Mappa Mundi and the renowned 'chained library', and a medieval bridge over the winding River Wye. Just 12.5 miles away is the wonderful market town of Hay-on-Wye, famous for its 30-plus bookshops, excellent pubs, restaurants and antique shops, making it one of the most visited tourist attractions in Wales. The position of the cottage being so remote and having an enclosed garden was great for dogs. The cottage was warm, well appointed and cosy. The outbuilding was great for storing muddy boots and having a hose to clean the dog was a bonus. Also the use of the washing machine was a great help in dealing with wet muddy walking clothes. A lovely property that I would highly recommend.

Cosy, comfortable, clean cottage. Maps, tourist info, cleaning equipment, washing up liquid, tea towels provided. Rural location. Plenty of good dog walks on doorstep. Near to places of interest. The owner was very helpful and approachable. Loved the wood burner.
