"This is one of the best cottages I've stayed in and I've stayed in quite a few over the years."
Very clean. Lots of attention to detail. Helpful owners who live next door. Fantastic view from living room and bedrooms over fields. The property is down a well maintained track. If it's peace and quiet you're after I highly recommend it!
-
"This is our 3rd visit to this property."
It has a very âhome from homeâ feel about it. It had everything we needed for our stay especially peace and quiet , while being in easy reach of several small towns and villages. The hosts are extremely friendly and go above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We look forward to staying again .
-
"Lovely location overlooking fields and within an hour of so much to see and experience."
The cottage is a good size with a super little garden, although didnât use it due to the cold wet weather.
-

Very peaceful & quiet location Beautiful setting over rolling Welsh hills & a fantastic sunset over Denbigh Castle....... perfect! Will definitely book this cottage again in the future.

"The directions to the house need to be revised"

"From the minute we arrived it was clear that this was the perfect property for us, peace and tranquillity."
The welcome we received was wonderful, nothing too much trouble at all. The house offered us a true home from home with comfortable beds and space to move around and be comfortable. The wardrobes were well equipped with hangers and plenty of room. Everything was perfectly presented, right down to the pretty wildflowers that were left in vases. There was tea, coffee, milk and biscuits along with starter kit for the fire which was most welcome. The hosts had thought of everything including useful information for places to visit and was close to so many wonderful places. The only thing we had an issue with was using the cooker oven, maybe a set of simple instructions for those of us who aren't really savvy with this type of oven. We highly recommend and look forward to returning.
Thank you for your comments, including about the cooker. We're glad you enjoyed your stay in the cottage. Property Owner

"Great stay in a great cottage, I would return again to stay here."

"This is a very well maintained and spacious cottage."
It was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Even tea, coffee and milk were supplied on arrival. There is a small private garden with patio furniture and views over the surrounding fields although sadly the weather meant that we never used it. The owners live next door in case there are problems but we never needed to disturb them, after being welcomed on arrival. There are several supermarkets a few miles away in both Denbigh and Ruthlin all with easy parking. Just be aware that it is a mile or so down a narrow road with passing places and you may come across the occasional car, cyclist or even a herd of cows. Drive slowly! We had a great holiday and can highly recommend this cottage for a short stay.
Thank you for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your holiday and were pleased with the cottage. Property Owner

"Beautiful and cosy cottage in picturesque country setting complete with the sheep and cows."
Plenty of space (and toys!) for children to play both indoors and out. We had a most fantastic holiday and the owners were friendly and helpful, even going out of their way to help us find the best activities for our kids. Highly recommend this cottage, we hope to come and stay again sometime.

"Delightful well equipped property with everything we needed."
Well maintained, warm, comfortable and welcoming. It provides excellent views across the surrounded fields (and yes you can see the castle). Splendid isolation but with easy access to the town and some good pubs.
Many thanks for your positive review. We're glad you enjoyed the property. Property Owner

"Castle View cottage is a lovely cottage, not far from Denbigh (a very nice town)."
Off the beaten track it's very quiet. For walks in the fields it's excellent. The owners are next door and friendly. We had a power cut. Ailsa and Nigel could not have been more helpful. Being out in the wild, up narrow lanes. It may not be suitable for those who want shops and nightlife.
-
"A wonderfully well equipped and cosy cottage in a stunning location."
We loved everything about our stay here
-
"Very well appointed bungalow, there was tea bags, coffee, sugar, milk and a packet of biscuits waiting for us on arrival."
the owner popped round to introduce herself to us. Both of these were nice touches.

"Lovely cottage in a rural location with everything you need including tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival."
Private garden with furniture to sit out and enjoy the views. Owners are just next door and came to collect us as we got lost on arrival!! Peaceful but within a couple of miles from a supermarket for groceries. Ideal for exploring North Wales and all it has to offer....would highly recommend!

"Castle View cottage is a lovely cottage situated in a beautiful, peaceful area."
We would love to return. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped and the owners are very welcoming. There are lovely views from the pretty little garden with cows and sheep in the field. There are lots of interesting places to visit close by and walks from the door on quiet narrow lanes and footpaths.

"We had a wonderful stay at Castle View Cottage."
It had been cleaned to a very high standard and we really felt that it was as safe as could be. We met the owners and they were friendly, welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. The property was larger than expected so there was plenty of space for out family of two adults and two young children to spread out and relax. There were large comfortable sofas, ample soft towels and cosy beds. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. It was great to have a utility to leave muddy shoes, bags etc. The location was perfect for us and we enjoyed exploring the Clwydians, Llyn Brenig, and the coast at Colwyn Bay and Rhyl. Would highly recommend this property.

It was wonderful to come back to the cottage to relax and unwind. Many thanks to the owners for a wonderful stay in a cottage we would certainly recommend.

"Lovely holiday in rural wales."
Everything about the cottage was perfect. Loved to open the curtains to see sheep, lambs, pheasants and hares in the field outside. Very welcoming owners...nothing was too much trouble. Loved it! Thank you Ailsa and Nigel.

"Very pleasant stay in a lovely location."
Our hosts were welcoming and friendly, including Bailey (the dog). It was very nice having a wood burner, and the fuel to use it. Very welcome on a cold, damp evening.
-
"Great experience from start to finish kept us up to date with reminders."
Very good directions and perfect details of property. Will definitely use your services again
-
"The owners Ailsa & Nigel were so welcoming & attentive to our needs."
The cottage was beautifully equipped, clean & far more spacious than we had originally thought.....the advertising photo does not show the whole of the 'Guest' cottage & as it states the owners live next door, we thought the cream painted wall was theirs! Peaceful, relaxing, & an absolute joy to return to each evening! We shall definitely recommend to family & friends.
-
"Great place, very peaceful."
We were made to feel most welcome. Ideal place when you have toddlers as it is all on one level. Lots to see in the surrounding area.
-
"We were very lucky with the weather but the cottage was very comfortable & lovely & would definitely return."
It was tranquil & relaxing. The owners were great, so friendly & helpful, lovely couple.
-
"The cottage was perfect for our holiday in every way, we would recommend to friends and family."
-
"The holiday experience was first class."
The accommodation is comfortable, spacious and clean. The cottage is set within beautiful countryside giving a perfect peaceful hideaway. For those enjoying a good walk it is sufficiently close to Denbigh for all basic amenities and a short drive gives access to a number of seaside resorts. On a personal note I would like to thank the owners Nigel and Ailysa for going the extra mile to make us feel welcome and informed. A highly recommended holiday.

"Peace and tranquility !"
-
"The cottage was in a lovely quite location, & well equipped."
The owners were very friendly & after welcoming us left us to our own devices. There was a welcome pack on our arrival. We would go again if it wasn't quite so far away. The supermarkets were a few minutes drive away in either Ruthin or Denbigh. We loved the views from the cottage. We even saw a shrew in the garden, as well as cattle & sheep in the field.
-
"I was very pleased with everything about this property and its location."
It was in a very peaceful area but so close to shops that it made our holiday very enjoyable. The wild life that we saw from the windows of the cottage was amazing. The owners of the cottage were so welcoming and friendly that we felt very relaxed right from the start. I would recommend this cottage to anyone.
-
"The cottage was wonderful , far exceeded the description and photographs of the online brochure ."
The rooms were large , very comfortable and had lovely countryside views. The peace and quiet was almost deafening , with a variety of birdlife , especially the visit from a Kestrel , who sat on the fence for ages one evening. The location we found to be very good for all the North Wales attractions , being only a short drive to the A55 North Wales Expressway.( Even the Wi-Fi was strong enough to watch an online football match.)
-
"Ideal setting for peace and tranquility yet not far from places to see ."
The owners are exceptional and go out of there way to make your stay a good experience .
