Railway Cottage is an end-of terrace cottage built around 1898 and has been thoroughly modernised for your comfort while keeping the feel of a cosy cottage.

Traditional beams and original ancient black cast iron feature fire surround compliment the open plan living, dining and compact kitchen area perfectly.

Upstairs you will find a comfortable double bedroom and an additional single bedroom, both served by a a good sized bathroom to enjoy a relaxing soak after a long day exploring.

Be wowed by the private the garden, which is separate to the house, which proudly presents an inviting summerhouse where you can sit with your favourite refreshments to admire the beautiful views of the hills down to Black Rock sand and beyond. If you are a train enthusiast or just like steam trains, this is a great location as the Penrhyn Welsh Highland Railway station which was opened in 1865 and a Grade Il listed building is located up and along the back of the cottage where you can catch the train to visit Porthmadog with its harbour and high street full of shops, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Minfford and Beddgelert, travelling through the countryside surrounded by spectacular scenery.

A truly great experience of Wales. Alternatively, take a short drive to visit the famous Italianate village of Portmeiron- perfect for a posh cream tea! Penhryndeudraeth which means (Peninsula with two beaches) offers a whole plethora of places to visit from sightseeing, to walking trails, museums, Zip World, Snowdonia and many more, not forgetting Anglesey and the historic towns of Caernarfon, Harlech and Criccieth with their own castles all less than an hour's drive away. There are pubs and restaurants, cafes and even a vegan eatery all within walking distance.

Portmeirion 2 miles; Porthmadog 3 miles; Beddgelert 7.7 miles.

The large village of Penrhyndeudraeth boasts a selection of shops and a variety of restaurants, Post Office and a railway station which takes you along the Ffestiniog Railway. Just two miles away is the celebrated unique Italianate village of Portmeirion, which was the location of the TV show The Prisoner, and is surrounded by sandy beaches and captivating woodlands. The harbour town of Porthmadog is a little further along, where you can journey along the Ffestiniog Railway to the slate town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, "the town that roofed the world". To the north is the pretty village of Beddgelert, which is set around the Afon Glaslyn River and offers craft shops, pubs, tea rooms, restaurants, and an enchanting riverside walk, and it’s also located in the stunning Snowdonia National Park, from where you can spend hours admiring the beautiful scenery on foot or by bike. Penrhyndeudraeth is an ideal base for exploring the Llyn Peninsula, Snowdonia National Park and many other places in North Wales.
