We really enjoyed being close to some beautiful walks as well as the cafés and shops of Aviemore. The kitchen was well equipped too, so lots of opportunity for cooking and eating together! There's a bus stop right outside the property, which is handy for heading further out of Aviemore for walks, but they aren't very frequent so having a car is preferable for exploring further afield.

  • "A great base for a multi-generational family visit to the highlands."

Kitchen really well equipped, with a fab huge table that easily fitted all 7 of us round. Utility room was PERFECT for drying soggy ski gear: toasty warm boots the next morning! Beds lovely and comfortable, and good showers. Log fires were a bonus treat. The porch and garden room offered nice opportunities for quieter times, too. Only slight issue was the relatively small snug / living room - very cosy if we were all in there, but not always great angles for watching tv. But after a long day skiing, it wasn’t a big deal. Plus the lovely footstool / seat was great for achy legs. House is well located for walking into town for supplies / beers, and great parking. Would have been nice to have used the garden table, but February weather was against us (unsurprisingly).

It was very convenient for the amenities in Aviemore. It was also very well equipped and comfortable. However, some of the furniture and decorations were a little tired. The driveway was very narrow and difficult to negotiate if you parked at the front of the house.

It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable! Fresh flowers in the lounge and kitchen was a lovely touch! Beds very comfortable too! Only slightly negative comment is the seating in the lounge........there were six of us and just enough seating for us but don't think eight adults would manage. We all enjoyed our stay very much, had beautiful weather, and wouldn't hesitate to return to this lovely house.

Lovely property. The only thing that proved a bit of a problem was the height of the bottom step at the front and back doors. I had my mother and mother in law with us and they struggled getting up the steps. Maybe putting hand rails either side would really make this easier for older guests. Otherwise everything else was faultless.

The owners were super-friendly & helpful, and the cottage was a warm, well-equipped, and comfortable. It was a home-from-home from which it was easy to explore the area. The downstairs shower room was in need of redecoration and seating in the lounge was somewhat limited for the capacity of the house, but we would still happily visit again & would recommend the property to friends and family. To be honest the house was comfortable & perfectly adequate, but it's what's outside the window that you're really there to enjoy... the Cairngorms is an absolutely awesome location (in the truest sense of the word) & Scotland is incomparable in it's beauty...

There were six of us staying there and we had a fantastic stay there, although the weather was mixed. The house was spotlessly clean and really well equipped with everything that we could need. It was well positioned for walking into Aviemore and for food shopping which was a five minute walk away. There was plenty of room for all of our cars, vans, bikes and a motorcycle. Our hosts were helpful and easy to contact especially when we had a power cut (which turned out to be a local power Cut). Their instructions were clear and precise from all information on how to get to the house to how to use the heating, cooker, wifi etc. The six of us are hoping to revisit the house again next year for another great holiday.

It is well-siutated though you have to get used to the noise during the nigth coming from the main road. The bedrooms are very neat with excellent beds. We enjoyed the large, very well-equipped kitchen and the place behind the house to sit and chat. The bathrooms are very good and it is good to have three toilets. A few of us enjoyed the bath-tub!

The house is exceptional with everything you could need for a very comfortable holiday. Aviemore has lots to do within a short distance, most notably The Highland Folk Museum and The Highland Wildlife Park, neither should be missed. Myself and family had a great weeks holiday, though a week is not enough to enjoy all this place has to offer, consequently we all hope to return to Glencanisp in the not too distant future.
