The property

Puffins Reach is settled into the bustling seaside town of Amble, Northumberland, and is ideal for a family or group of friends seeking a coastal escape with a beach just a short proximity away.

Upon entering, this bright and airy property will engulf you in the feeling of being at home during your stay, with oak flooring downstairs and oak furniture throughout, initially giving you that homely feel.

Roam around into the lovely kitchen, which is not shy of amenities needed to give that dish a go you have always wanted to try or to merely keep the designated chef company!

When it's time to serve, a dining table set for six awaits hungry bellies and is a perfect place to discuss how to start your day of exploring Northumberland in all its glory.

Afterwards, unwind in the living space, where a woodburning stove will keep your feet toasty, and your favourite programme can be enjoyed on the Smart TV before it’s time for bed.

Snuggle up in one of the three bedrooms; a king-size, a double and a twin, all of which boast plenty of storage space for the over-packers of your family!

When the weather gets warmer, open the patio door, and let the fresh Northumberland air at your face, with plenty of space to give your children and dog a chance to run around, and a seating area for you to grab your favourite drink as you watch them.

Freshen up in the double shower, or have a soak in the bathtub before it's time to head out for the day.

You will be rearing to explore, as Amble Beach is at the heart of your seaside base; you may hire a beach hut for the day to keep your deckchairs and kayaks while you enjoy swimming in the sea and roaming around this relaxing beach.

For those that are seeking a tour of the deep sea, there are plenty of boat trips available to cater to all your needs; puffins, grey seals, and birdwatching, to name a few, and keep your eyes peeled for some dolphins!

For those who have dived before, there are plenty of opportunities to dive even deeper than you have before and be prepared for seals coming up to say hello.

If you have packed a surfboard, head to one of the surrounding beaches like Warkworth Beach, and impress the locals with how you catch a wave!

For a countryside activity, head to Warkworth Castle, which combines idyllic views of the seaside and country, as well as ample history to explore.

Finally, to finish your day of adventure, there are ample bars and restaurants right at your doorstep, or grab a takeaway and sit on the harbour at sunset, with views that will leave you breathless.

Puffins Reach is your new coastal escape, awaiting memories to last a lifetime.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £300.

About the location

AMBLE

Warkworth 1 mile; Alnmouth 4 miles.

The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Historically a centre for boatbuilding, Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters. There is a fish centre on the side of the harbour that is now primarily a shell fish hatchery to re-stock levels of lobster and other shell fish, this sells local fish and is open to the public. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous superb beaches are only a short drive away, whilst picturesque Warkworth with its castle, charming Alnwick with its castle and award-winning gardens, and the National Trust’s Wallington Hall and Cragside are all within easy reach.
