Lovely apartment in beautiful countryside a short drive from the charming town of Easingwold.

"We were looking for a quiet break between Christmas and New Year and that's exactly what we got."
Ideal location. Comfortable accommodation. Log burning Stove with all the comforts of home. Close enough to York via the Park and Ride to have 2 days exploring and shopping. Easingwold has all the amenities we needed. A friendly, and appealing place that we would love to return to.
-

"Beautiful property, clean & comfortable with everything you could possibly need."
Owners were friendly & welcoming, views were outstanding. Lots of places nearby to visit including York, Whitby & Scarborough and the locals were exceptionally friendly. A 30 minute walk into Easingwold where the George Hotel served amazing food & staff were friendly & welcoming, live music in the village square on Saturdays in the summer months a lovely village atmosphere. Would love to return.

-
"Really lovely cottage."
Very comfortable and spacious. It had everything you need on holiday. It was very conveniently located near Easingwold for shops and cafes and is within easy access to the A19 to get to York and further afield.

"A beautiful place to stay, it has home comforts whilst having hotel quality bedding, towels amenities etc."
-
"The property was very well cared for."
Everything that we could need was present. The instructions for using the place were easy to follow. The welcome both in person and the stores in the fridge helped to make us feel at home straight away. Rachael could not have been more helpful, and yet I never felt that she was intruding on our holiday. Thank you very much Rachael for a really great holiday.
-
"The property is situated in a very quiet rural setting with views out over the surrounding countryside making it ideal for a peaceful holiday."
At the same time there are some wonderful tourist sites in easy reach such as English Heritage and National Trust properties. A five minute drive takes you to Easingwold for any necessary shopping and good quality eateries. There is also a good Friday market and bus service. The property was warm with the air-source heating and there’s also a log-burner if needed. The decor is light and everything comfortable and modern and if you couldn’t go out would be very pleasant to just stay in. There’s an undercroft area for your vehicle meaning it’ll be dry and frost-free. The kitchen area is perfectly adequate for cooking from scratch. The owner is nearby if you need help with anything at all and very accommodating.
-
"Nice and remote ideally situated to explore Yorkshire"
-
"This has to be the most peaceful luxurious holiday retreat I've ever had."
A wonderful location and the place itself is a decent size with everything you could need for a short or longer stay. Honestly, I just wanted to stay longer, the bed also super comfy! The wine in the fridge was a lovely touch, as were the biscuits, that's very thoughtful, thank you. A few things that would make it even better - An email or listing on Sykes of what condiments are available at the lodge. The Fridge does give off quite a loud hum.
-

The place is very well located in peaceful surroundings and yet well positioned for many attractions on the moors or the dales. Also it is close to the city of York and the coast. "Wonderful cottage, very cosy."
The cottage is well arranged an d feels very spacious. The fridge has an icebox in the top of it which was usful. The only slight negative is there was very little room to store your own food if you prepared your own meals. However the kitchen was very well equiped and I would happily return again

"The Stables is a little gem."
Situated near the very attractive Crayke village in beautiful countryside, it’s peaceful and comfortable. It was a bonus to have biscuits , tea, coffee, milk AND wine waiting for us when we arrived. The hosts were friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay if you want to walk/cycle, visit York which is a short trip away with a frequent park and ride service available, or just enjoy a restful break. The Durham Ox pub in the village is a short walk, the pub is attractive , service efficient and the food delicious; it’s a great place to eat and have a drink. We’re looking forward to visiting again.
-
"We enjoyed our stay at The Stables, which was very warm, comfortable and cosy."
A perfect location for visiting York, approx 10 miles to the park and ride at Rawcliffe Bar for hassle free parking and short bus journey into the centre. We went to Whitby, Castle Howard and Helmsley for short trips from The Stables. We pre booked Sunday Lunch at the Durham Ox in Crayke, this is advisable due the wonderful food on offer and popularity of the place. We were allowed complete privacy by the owners and would like to thank them for the welcome treats that were left for our arrival. A wonderful break in the first week of April.
-
"First time we've ever been to Yorkshire."
The Stables was absolutely perfect for us. Well equipped kitchen, soft bedding, nice bath and massive comfortable bed. Peace and quiet for a relaxing week. Plenty of places to go for day trips. Including Whitby. Overall, highly recommend it and would go back again.

"First time at this property and it didn't disappoint."
We know the area well and the purpose was to visit an old friend in Easingwold. Location was excellent and so quiet, with good views out. First time we have the use of a garage for the car! Comfy and warm with an out of this world super king bed. slept so well. Will be looking to book this again for next year if available.
-
"We had a lovely week at this warm, cosy and well equipped holiday home."
It was a lovely surprise to find a second TV in the bedroom plus a bottle of wine and some other unexpected extras. The location is amazing ,within reach of several lovely yorkshire towns and of course York. Easingwold 5 minutes drive away for all essential needs. The views from the apartment are lovely and undercover parking a bonus. The lady owner made a special effort to come out and say hello to us, which was very nice. We hope to visit again in the warmer weather ,so that we can sit outside with drink in hand and enjoy the peace and quiet ,while watching the birds and other wildlife.

"Very comfortable and well-appointed accommodation, perfect for a couple and well placed for York, Harrogate, Scarborough and the N Yorks Moors."
Lovely quiet location but with easy access to the small market town of Easingwold which has shops, pubs and cafes, and free parking. Clean and bright inside; the woodburner was great in the evenings - it's small, but we wouldn't have needed anything bigger; kitchen facilities clean and ample for the two of us for a week; modern bathroom all fine. Always warm but not too warm. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and spacious! Great to have covered parking for our car, especially as there was a dusting of snow one morning. Host friendly and helpful but not obtrusive; all in all we had a lovely, relaxing week. Thank you!

"Perfect little gem of a place to explore North West Yorkshire."
Easy P&R into York, and beautiful little towns dotted all around for an explore. We visited Sutton Bank and Dalby Forest MTB parks, both awesome, though Dalby had the edge, fab place, and worth the £9 parking as we rode trails for 5hrs. Crayke easy 20mn walk, and the pub is incredible, gorgeous meal. Easingwold had numerous little pubs and could be walked in 30 mns. The lodge itself was absolutely perfect for us, will 100% return.
-

"We had just finished teaching that day and needed some peace and quiet to unwind, and that's exactly what we got."
This superb barn conversion was well very equipped and had a huge, comfortable bed. It's location was handy for walking nearby and for getting to the coast and for York. We watched rabbits and hares visit the grass outside the barn every evening and apart from farm machines there was no noise to disturb us, a great way to start our summer holiday.
