10 Customer Reviews

  • "The property is a fabulous base for a family holiday, within walking distance of all the amenities in Aberfeldy."

Overall we were very happy with the property, it was clean and well appointed with everything you need. Generally well maintained although there were a couple of doors missing handles and the towel rail in the upstairs bathroom fell off a couple times. Easy fixes which may not have been reported to the owner previously. I would recommend it to family and friends.

  • "There was ten in our group ages ranging from 8years old to 68years old it being a family Christmas celebration, and we all had a fantastic time ,the house it self has plenty of room for everyone to enjoy time together or a wee quiet corner to yourself ."

Plenty nice walks near by .although the weather could have been a bit better ,however it is winter and that was what we expected ,The only down point that I would like to say is I did struggle cooking Christmas dinner ,the hob works perfectly ok however the oven is very small could only cook one item at a time which did cause a bit of stress at the time, Although everyone did enjoy it in the end .Thank you Jimmy for your support good to know your near by if we did need anything

Hi Robin, Thanks for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you had a fantastic time - and obviously managed to explore Aberfeldy and it's local environs. I'm sorry you found the oven a little small; whilst it IS a standard 60cm across, it is a wee bit smaller height-wise due to the 2nd oven/grill above the main oven. I hope the Xmas meal was a success nonetheless. Do let us know if you'd like to return at any point in the future; we'd be delighted to have you all back. Many thanks. Property Owner

  • "We have stayed in this property quite a few times and always have a lovely time."

The house is spacious and relaxing. Everything you need is in the house though we could have had some cloths and dish towels. Very central to the town centre. We will return in the future

Hi Christine, Thanks for taking the time to leave us your feedback - and lovely to have you back again. It is a real treat to have returning guests and I'm glad that you continue to get so much out of Edengrove and Aberfeldy. I'm very sorry that you seemed to be missing the kitchen cloths and dishtowels - they are a standard feature (as you may remember from your last visit), so I think that the change-over team must have forgotten...so my sincere apologies for that. If ever there are any issues on your future visits, you know where I live - do let me know and I'll do all I can to put them right, straight away! Hope to see you again later in 2024. Many thanks. • "What a great place to stay!"

! We were there as a family with a range of ages. Great facilities and outdoor space, in a beautiful village. We made a request for a high chair. The home owner visited and also provided some great recommendations. Would definitely stay again.

  • "The overall service has been fantastic."

Quick replies to emails and phone calls. With regards to the house itself; it was a fantastic property and an excellent location. Bedrooms were all ideal and a great configuration. The house was also extremely accessible as a few of our party were elderly, so having bedrooms downstairs (and the bathroom) was ideal. There was plenty room for the 8 of us (from seating to the various social spaces downstairs). The house was well kitted out and complementary whisky and prosecco was a nice touch. My only two minor comments of areas for improvement were; the oven takes a long time to heat and never quite reaches the selected temperature. The downstairs doors could do with a paint refresh.

About the location

ABERFELDY

Pitlochry 14 miles; Perth 31 miles.

The market town of Aberfeldy stands on the River Tay amidst beautiful scenery in rural Perthshire. Famous for its association with Burns and his poem The Birks Of Aberfeldy, and also the bridge built for General Wade in 1733, Aberfeldy is just south of Glen Lyon, known as the longest, loneliest, and loveliest glen in Scotland. There is much to attract the visitor in addition to the spectacular scenery. There is a 10 mile riverside walk for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as numerous paths through forest and countryside. In addition, Aberfeldy is on the Rob Roy Way and Cycle Route 7. Whitewater rafting on the River Tay is an exhilarating way to enjoy the scenery. Castle Menzies is a wonderful 16th century castle, now fully restored and open to visitors. Take a distillery tour at Dewar’s World of Whisky on the edge of town. Sample the many bars, restaurants and cafes in the town and explore the galleries and craft shops, including the Scottish Chocolate Centre. The Scottish Crannog Centre offers a glimpse into Iron Age life and Loch Tay offers a multitude of watersports, while Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park are on your doorstep. An hours drive brings you to 30 Munros, just waiting to be 'bagged'!
