  • "Location is superb."

Garden space gives peace & relaxation. Unfortunately the people staying in the main house on Monday evening set off the smoke alarm @ 9.30 pm ish & woke me as I had driven from Newcastle & visited House of Bruar.I take it it’s connected to both properties as I had not cooked anything I was concerned. They did not realise I think it effected me as they didn’t approach wouldn’t rebook after this experience which is a pity. And wouldn’t recommend.

  • "The owners have clearly put a lot of thought and care into this wee holiday home."

It appears small on the outside but is pretty spacious in (the 11 year old even commented on this!). Everything was to a high standard. They even provided wee treats for our dog, which was a lovely gesture. The little manual/info book provided helpful recommendations for the local area. The location is super handy - just a short walk from the main street. We also loved the wild pheasant casually strutting about the garden!

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed this cosy and fun space amongst nature. As well as pheasant, if you are lucky next time you may spot deer, colourful woodpeckers, as well as pirds of prey in the garden. Property Owner

  • "Had a lovely stay and really appreciated the bottle of Prosecco to welcome us and the dogs enjoyed their treats Would have been better if the garden was more enclosed so the dogs could wonder about freely."

The hot water tank really isn’t big at all. I had a shower and had to wash my conditioner off in ice cold water. We hadn’t been in all day so not like we used loads of water. My husband had to have a cold shower Loads of sockets but nowhere to do your hair near a plug so resorted to having to take the mirror down and moving it so I could use it to dry and straighten my hair Didn’t use the kitchen really but seemed really well equipped. Cinema style seats weren’t the comfiest to sit on for any period of time. Overall had a lovely stay. Was in walking distance from centre of town where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. Just a few minor issues as I have pointed out. Would be happy to stay here again

Thank you so much for this feedback. We're really glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for highlighting the issue you experienced with the hot water. We have an electrician and plumber reviewing the system. We hope to welcome you back again! Property Owner
