Easter Blervie, a stylish eco-lodge rests rurally on the outskirts of Forres, Moray.

Designed and built for sustainability, using locally sourced larch, natural insulation, organic paint throughout and an entirely natural reed bed. Privately set with its own decked area, open-plan living space, and off-road parking, Easter Blervie offers a well-appointed base for two guests, ideal for a couple's retreat to the countryside. Benefit from two parking spaces, unloading your belongings for your stay, before making your way through the pretty garden and up onto the decked area; take advantage of this space by dining alfresco, lighting the fire pit, and toasting to your retreat.

Indoors you will find a contemporary yet well-equipped living space, complete with a compact kitchen, a dedicated dining area, and plush seating, which you can sink into whilst delving into a good book or catching up with your latest programme; a rustling woodburning stove is on offer, to light on those cooler nights, ready to cosy up.

A sumptuous double bed serves the lodge, along with a handy wet room, where you can get ready over the coming days. Head into the nearby town of Forres; here you will find a whole host of amenities, from independent shops and supermarkets to taverns and cafes.

With endless beaches to explore along the Moray Coast, find the nearest, Findhorn Beach, to enjoy some fresh sea air, followed by a trip to the Heritage Centre.

The stunning, National Trust for Scotland property of Brodie Castle can be reached by car, hosting a range of events, tours, and nature spotting opportunities, or travel even further to Cawdor Castle and Gardens, with associations with Macbeth, rolling back to the 14th century.

Outdoor enthusiasts will relish in the chance to jump in the car and aim for the Cairngorm National Park, ready to summit the peaks, stroll around the lochs, and follow the hiking trails of this wonderful landscape, before returning home for sundowners.
