  • "We had a great stay, there were a couple of minor maintenance issues which we reported to the owners, but other than that it was all good."

    The children enjoyed the games in the garage and the hot tub. We were impressed that the washer was already preloaded with liquid and fabric conditioner. The house was lovely and warm so we didn't use the log burner. Having the two lounges meant there was some quiet space when the children were being children. Overall a great place for a week with the family. Thank you.

  • "We had a lovely long weekend at Woodend Croft, the welcome pack was a lovely touch and the house was warm and cosy upon our arrival."

    The spacious house was exactly as described and very well equipped. From warm blankets to the plastics available for use in the hot tub everything had been thought of. The garden is also fully fenced in so perfect for those bringing dogs. The hot tub just outside on the patio was spotless and big enough to cater for all our our party. The Welcome book gave us all the info we needed and we enjoyed takeaway from the Nazma Indian in Ellon which was able to be delivered, perfect! A lovely walk and cuppy at nearby Haddo House and a Sunday Lunch at the Udny Arms in Newburgh which again was superb. We will certainly return again :)

  • "The property was amazing, a lovely place which is beautifully designed and decorated to cater for all your family needs."

    I would recommend this property to anyone who is visiting Scotland as it has all the amenities you would require and just down the road is Ellon town which has all the major shops for food and shopping while on your stay. The property owners are so welcoming and friendly, they really make you feel like ur at home and are very helpful if you need or require anything while you stay in this amazing home. My family loved it and would most definitely return when we visit Scotland again. Thank you to the owners for creating such an amazing holiday home.

Settled in the charming, rural village of Pitmedden in among the rolling Scottish fields in Aberdeenshire is Woodend Croft.

This luxurious, dog-friendly, detached holiday home benefits from an enclosed, rear garden with patio, hot tub, and barbecue as well as four sumptuous bedrooms all with en-suites; the perfect setting for families or friends looking to explore all the wonders of Aberdeenshire.

Pitmedden is a rural village resting within the parish of Udny in Aberdeenshire, surrounded by rolling countryside and around seven-miles from the coast at Newburgh, making it a great base for touring this north-eastern area of Scotland. The village's local amenities include a café, small supermarket, a pub and a takeaway, offering all the essentials for a self-catered stay. Pitmedden's most renowned attraction is the National Trust for Scotland Pitmedden Garden, comprising five-miles of immaculate boxwood hedging planted to create intricate patterns, with 80 different varieties of apple tree here and beautiful fountains to admire, it's a lovely must-see attraction. The Museum of Farming Life offers an insight into the local farming history of the area and is full of agricultural artefacts, whilst around twenty-miles away lies the fairytale castle of Fyvie Castle, another National Trust for Scotland property, you can take a tour around the opulent rooms and hear of the legends and even ghost stories that live on today.
