Home from home with all modcons. A great base to explore the island of Anglesey and Snowdonia National Park from. We had a thoroughly enjoyable break, and without hesitation would book this property again. We will definitely recommend Gwalia to our friends and family.

  • "Just returned from a stay at Gwalia Cottage."

Lovely area & setting very peaceful & quiet. Cottage well equipped and we would have really enjoyed our stay except for the oil fired boiler. The fumes that were omitted from it were nauseating . It was so bad we had to have the patio door open whilst in the cottage even when when there was winds. Engineer came out and confirmed there wasn't a leak so the boiler was safe.

Thanks for your feedback on your stay. We always respond quickly to guest concerns and hope the engineer provided reassurance that the boiler was safe. Property Owner

  • "We love going to Anglesey and had a lovely week away."

Gwalia Cottage is in a great location, so near to Llanddwyn beach and Newborough Forest, but not too far to drive over to one of the other fabulous places on the Island. Overall, the cottage was clean and comfortable and is in very nice peaceful surroundings. Unfortunately, it has an oil boiler which emits a fuel type smell. We were unlucky in that the boiler had a leak while we were there which increased the smell, however, the owners were quick to react and fix the issue which we were thankful for. Sadly, it did taint our week as the boiler is situated within the kitchen/living area which meant whenever we were in the cottage we had all windows and doors open. This is okay to do during summer but not sure it would be as easy during the colder months. After speaking to the owners through Sykes, they did say that depending on the weather the smell could be stronger... I would suggest that the boiler needs either moving to a different area or potentially the flue outside needs to be changed. While the cottage itself is nice enough, the whole experience wasn't quite what we wanted.

Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback and we're pleased you are satisfied that we responded to and resolved the issue quickly for you. Property Owner

So very clean, comfy beds and great to have the balcony to sit and relax in the peace and quiet and watch the cows. Thanks for the lovely bag of treats. The lager and popcorn have gone taking the rest home to enjoy, hope to be back thanks.
