  • "We loved it!"

    & Freddy the Frenchie too!

  • "Firstly we had a great time, and the proximity to the town centre was brilliant (one of the reasons I booked)."

Few items of feedback if I may, worth you improving on the general maintenance during use, as we had to request for the hot tub to have chemicals applied (thought this was a government requirement for daily checks). The buildings gutters were over filled with leaves and vegetation which meant when it rained they made an annoying dripping noise (whilst trying to sleep) with a potential future problem of water ingress. I'm conscious with the amount of trees close by this was inevitable, but there are some good gutter guards on the market that would help, or make it a monthly routine check and clear. The handbook provided seemed a generic one for all buildings on site, with it worth being specific to the individual building e.g. there were no mattress protector on our bed nor cleaning tablets for the hot tub in the cupboard above the microwave (there was no cupboard above the microwave). We were really impressed by the buildings thermal properties as just having the shower on, the rooms felt warm. It would have been great to have a choice of duvet as it seems that the winter one had been placed on and unfortunately we were boiled alive at times. One previous comment made mention to the close proximity for the fire station, we heard noting during our stay. Another previous comment made made reference to the unsightly telecom mast in the distance spoiling the view. You had to look through the trees to see, and I suspect the person making the criticism also had the benefit of great mobile phone signal also!

  • "The owner should spend a few nights in their lodge to realise how impractical it can be and how it could be significantly improved by making some simple changes."

Shelf in bathroom Towel rail Fit toilet seat properly Fix the sticking bathroom door Coat hooks A Coffee or nested table More kitchen storage Full set of cutlery Grill pan for oven Shoe rack Terrestrial TV Better parking - lots of space, but poorly laid out especially for disabled access. Harder to put right is the position of the hot tub makes it very difficult to remove/replace the cover - especially for one person. Furthermore, hot tub requires more frequent regular maintenance. Chlorine had not been topped up leaving the water with a green tinge by the end of our stay. Yuck. Otherwise, this is a great lodge for anyone wishing to explore North Wales.

The hot tub was blissful. It was spotlessly clean and looked like it was all new. Will be coming back again one day soon.
