  • "We enjoyed a wonderful week on Anglesey staying in this house and we where very lucky to have fine sunny weather."

We were celebrating our 57th wedding anniversary and this break was just the way to do it. The house was comfortable, well equipped with everything you could wish for, and marvelous views of the straits and Snowdonia from the living room and bedrooms. It was in a convenient situation to start exploring both Anglesy and parts of North Wales such as Bangor Pier and Penrhyn Castle. In the evening we often went down to the little quayside hotel a short walk or drive, the Gazelle Hotel, to either enjoy a drink on the quayside or a lovely supper in the dining room overlooking the straits. There were many walks, suggestions and useful information left for our use by the owner, and we actually added a couple to his folder,

Great to read that your celebration was a success, helped by the comfort of your stay, there being lots to do and the sunshine Thank you for your positive feedback Property Owner

  • "Excellent property."

Hot water supply was very good, and the shower in the ensuite excellent (other shower not used). Heating worked well. Beds very comfortable. Views from property outstanding. Only two very minor points - the sink plug in bathroom does not fit completely - water drains away, and the bin collection was at 0530 !

Thanks for the positive feedback, and great to read you enjoyed your stay. I appreciate the feedback on the plug and will get it replaced. Sorry the Bin Collection disturbed you but regrettably they are a law unto themselves. Hope I see you back sometime in the future Peter Property Owner

  • "Hi Peter, I have been visiting Wales for the last few years now and your place is honestly the best home I have ever stayed in."

For me and my family it was truly like home from home. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed (the only thing missing was a laundry basket) but the real delight was the three very spacious bedrooms. The quality of the furniture throughout the house was of an excellent standard, really solid wood, none of the cheap rubbish I've seen in other places. Plus, the two upstairs bathrooms were very spacious with huge walk in showers, as well as the added bonus of a separate downstairs toilet. Overall, I would recommend this cottage to everyone, and I hope to come back soon hopefully

Thank you for the great feedback, it’s good to know we have got things right. I hope to see you back soon. Peter Property Owner

  • "Unfortunately the kitchen tap seem to be on it's last legs."

It leaked, dripping and up the central gland. We had on like it. Replacing washers a waste of time. Otherwise comfortable and easy access. Good position as base to tour the delights of Anglsey.

I'm happy to read that that your holiday was enjoyable but apologise for the dripping tap. Based on your feedback I have had the tap replaced so all is working normally now. Property Owner

  • "The holiday cottage was quite a let down, with several areas varying noticeably from the descriptiojbon your site."

I would be interested to know how often these are vetted by yourselves. The facilities were poor (oven was poor, never got to a decent temperature to cook), there were lightbulbs broken, battery in clock was dead, several chairs in the kitchen in need of repair/replacement. The plumbing needed sorting out, the garden was bare (apart from outside the wall which needed tending. The futon in the second bedroom was broken and dangerous. The third bedroom is listed as being only suitable for children. However, the listing does not state that there is a steep staircase directly into the room with no stair gate. By the age you would trust children alone in the room, they would be as tall as adults so the room is not really useable. We feel massively cheated by this booking and would appreciate yours and the owners feedback and resolution.

Thank you for your feedback, which I have read with great concern. I'm sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations and I can confirm that I have taken the following remedial actions: * The oven has been tested and its confirmed that it takes in the region of 15 mins to reach a cooking temp of 180 degrees. * All light bulbs and batteries have been replaced and being checked on a regular basis. * All dining chairs have been checked. There were two which were a little "wobbly". These have been repaired. * The plumbing has been checked and all is working as it should be. * The rear court yard has been "brightened" up with flowers and greenery. *The room has served visiting families for at least seven years with no issues or concerns, however a valid observation has been made and as such, a stair guard has now been installed. Notwithstanding this the description of the property has been enhanced to mention the spiral staircase and advise on the suitability of the room for very small children. Property Owner

  • "House is really nice, rooms are generous and well appointed, bathrooms are excellent."

Really pleased with it. Couple of comments to make intended to be constructive: 1. Wifi is poor - probably to do with location but brochure says it has wifi, which was important in our decision, but it is so weak we couldn't do simple things like video call which I needed to do for work 2. The information for guests is poor eg no information on bins/recycling. The recycling bins were absolutely full as presumably previous guests weren't able to work out when to put bins out. Also no info on wifi eg router location and password. Had to hunt through the house (found it under the main bed!). Also info on parking would be good, we had two cars and weren't certain where we were allowed to park. But, excellent house, good location, we enjoyed it a lot.

  • "No spare rubbish bin bags and at this time of year there is more rubbish than normal."

Towels were provided with a bath towel each which was fine but only one bathroom hand towel to share between two. Every other cottage we have been in there as always been one hand towel each.

  • "The oven did not work correctly."

The oven selector knob did not work in the correct position and someone had put a felt tip mark on it. It took the food longer to cook and one meal we gave up on and through it away and went and purchased fish and chips. So not happy

Thank you for your feedback, the owner is checking to make sure the oven is working and is leaving a set of instructions for guests. Property Owner

book let provided as soon as they arive. The location of wifi router should be easier to find or password to wifi made available. The only disappointing issue was that the televisions are are too old and has no wifi receiving capabilities; can you can't mirror to them with portable devices. Apart from the TV issue, it was a brilliant accommodation.

Thank you for your feedback. In response to your comments, I have had the WiFi upgraded to Super Fast and a new television has been installed with access to Netflix etc. Property Owner
