  • "We have enjoyed our stay at the cedars, quiet, clean, comfortable."

There has been a lot of thought put into the home and all credit to the hostess. We missed the opportunity to view the wildlife digging up the lawn though! A visitors book seems like a good idea for future visitors to view. A list of recommended eating places wouldn’t go amiss. Maybe we’ll see you again, I hope so.

  • "This is a delightful, comfortable, warm, stylish and immaculate property in a very quiet residential area."

It's on the edge of town so in only 1 minute one can reach (on foot) a quiet, narrow lane which leads to a lovely little cove. The accommodation is well equipped and has a spacious modern kitchen. The electric heaters warm up very quickly and are efficient so we never needed to use the electric fire in the lounge. The WiFi worked well and the smart TV offered plenty of choice. The nearest bus stop (near the station) is only 7 minutes away and the station, shopping area and Lidl only 10 minutes. We had an excellent lunch with great service at the Harbourfront Bistro. The weather wasn't great but we managed some good walks without getting soaked. "Cedars" is a good base for visiting the local area and we were very happy there for a week.

  • "Lovely, clean accommodation."

Friendly owner who greeted us on arrival. The accommodation is well equipped with a modern feel. Would happily book again. Only 2 very minor issues, no toilet roll holder & bath towels are on the small side. Accommodation is a short drive to the harbour, however most attractions are 20-30 minute drive away. Large parking space,

  • "The first thing I noticed was that the pictures don't do the property justice."

It is very well and tastefully presented. The location was quiet. The living room has patio doors which look out onto a lovely garden. Five minute drive from the big supermarkets. Well located for visiting places on the island - no more than 45 minutes to the places we visited. WiFi was good. For a week away it had all we needed.

  • "Beautiful property very close to supermarkets."

Nice little bay up the road. Gaynor is a lovely lady, nothing was too much even though we had to have oxygen delivered and then picked up again.

About the location

HOLYHEAD

Trearddur Bay 3 miles.

The bustling town of Holyhead rests on the North West coast of the Isle of Anglesey, the largest town on the island and perhaps known best for being the main ferry port to Ireland. Steeped in history, the town boasts the remains of Roman town walls and forts, medieval burial chambers and stone village foundations. Explore the Breakwater Country Park, a former quarry, which offers designated walks through the grounds. The park is full of interesting wildlife, most notably the seals who visit the Holyhead coast, and outlines the amazing construction of the world's longest breakwater, some 1.8 miles, which today protects the harbour. Visit the colourful marina with its yachts and tall ships, or the town's maritime museum, with its tales of 100 shipwrecks in the vicinity. Day trips to Ireland can be enjoyed easily from here, with Dublin just 90 minutes away on the fast ferry. With spectacular cliff top walks over Holyhead Mountain, golden sandy beaches at the award winning Trearddur Bay and the Snowdonia National Park just a 20 minute drive away, this is a superb holiday location, at any time of the year.
