  • "A beautiful cottage."

Spotless. Everything that you could need is supplied. (However, a shower mat would be good) Good location for visiting coast and country.

Hi Claire. Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it! Hope to welcome you back in the future. Teresa & Phil Property Owner

  • "The cottage was a wonderful place to stay for our holiday in Snowdonia."

The internal of the cottage was lovely and comfortable and defiinitely warm in cold weather. The cottage is also located in a great place close to Llanberis and Caernarfon with easy access to all of Snowdonia and Anglesey. Highly recommended place to stay!

  • "Just book it honestly."

My partner and I booked a weekend away here to relax away from our busy stressful jobs. The place is like a retreat. The bedroom in particular is so comfortable and calm with the views of the farm land with horses in. It smelled amazing, the bed was the comfiest we’ve ever slept in. Bathroom is lovely and modern, two can fit in the bathtub! We loved the addition of the log burner and the fact the whole house heating is controlled by the flick of a button. The smart tv in the living room has Phillips hue lighting which changes with whatever you have on the tv! This made for some awesome movie nights. Overall this is the best cottage we have had the pleasure of staying in. We were very sad to leave it and hope to return in the near future. The welcome package of Welsh cakes, tea, coffee and Prosecco was greatly appreciated but we would suggest possibly having some milk in the package for the hot drinks. The only other improvement we noted was that the sofa could do with updating it’s pretty flat and deflated. Thank you for having us!!

Dear Holly, Wow! thank you so much for the amazing feedback, we are very grateful. We are so pleased that you had a fabulous stay and appreciated the cottage so much! Hope to welcome you back in the not too distant future. Teresa & Phil Property Owner

  • "Accommodation was very well equipped and comfortable , main problem on arrival was seeing the driveway to property which was a massive puddle and mud which made it awkward to walk to main road { with a 35kg dog }, property is not dog friendly , dogs are not allowed on carpeted areas which we didnt know until we read the welcome pack in property ."

This property is basically for couples with no pets

Hi David, Thank you for your feedback. It’s is disappointing to hear that you felt the property wasn’t dog friendly. We have had many guests with dogs and are dog lovers ourselves. The apartment has spacious wooden floors apart from the bedroom which is carpeted. We request that dogs are kept out of this area to respect guests with allergies. Unfortunately before your visit we experienced a lot of rain, however we are on with rectifying the shared driveway situation. Teresa & Phil Property Owner

  • "Our stay at the cottage was lovely the cottage was perfect we couldn’t fault anything the welcome gift was appreciated."

It was lovely to wake up in the mornings and see robins and blue tits in the hedges chirping away. The road to the property was quite bad to drive through as stated in the information and because of heavy rain you couldn’t set of walking unless you had wellies which we didn’t maybe road could be fixed we will definitely book again though enjoyed every minute

Dear Katherine, Thank you for your fabulous feedback! We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Appreciate you point regarding the shared driveway, we are on with rectifying this. We hope yo welcome you again soon. Teresa & Phil Property Owner

  • "Had a great stay at Bay Tree Cottage, a really nice place for a short break."

A couple of suggestions, it would be good to have some coat hooks/ coat rack available, there was a reclycle bin but no bin for the black plastic bag this would be beneficial. Really good that you supply sponges, washing up liquid etc however would be perfect if there was some kitchen towel and hob cleaner

Hi Graham, we are pleased you had a great stay at Bay Tree Cottage! We appreciate your feedback. Regarding the coat hooks, it is on our to do list, so thank you for the reminder :) We are not too sure why you mean regarding the bins. There are recycling and general waste bins inside and outside of the property, we will check with housekeeping regarding this. Also, we provide hob cleaner, apologies if it was missing on your stay. A huge comfy bed and high spec kitchen and bathroom made for an extremely comfortable stay in this beautiful part of Wales. Everything was catered for. Mount Snowdon and local attractions are close by, also convenience stores, pubs and eateries. Communication with owners was very easy and they were helpful with recommendations for places to eat. The welcome pack was a thoughtful touch. We had a great holiday!

About the location

LLANRUG

Llanberis 2 miles; Caernarfon 4 miles; Betws-y-Coed 15 miles.

Llanrug is a small village with two pubs, two shops, a Post Office, a hotel with indoor swimming pool and fitness room, and a 9 hole golf course is nearby. The village is situated in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountain Range, only 3 miles from famous Llanberis. Dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris, and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. Llanberis is something of a 'mecca' for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in Wales. The ascent can be made either by train, on the Snowdonia Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Llanberis boasts excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping. Just 4 miles from Llanrug, on the coast, is Caernarfon with its magnificent 13th century castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn and Plas Newydd and many wonderful beaches.
