  • "Second visit to Bryn Golau and would come again."

The new door however caused great deal of anxiety-will it unlock or won't it ! Even when we were used to how unlockng it worked it didn't each time. Lock definitely needs changing. If someone was in we just knocked the door! Would certainly come again if you sort out the lock.

  • "The property was in a great location and had been stylishly and thoughtfully modernised."

With the sitting room and kitchen upstairs it was lovely to be able to look out to sea. The weather wasn't kind enough to allow us to make use of the outside seating area but it is nicely done. There seemed to be plenty of space for the advertised sleeps 7 athough we only used it as a couple. The twin room did not have as much storage space whereas the other rooms had generous storage. A lovely touch was the bottle of wine and cake left for us on arrival. Thank you. PS We couldn't find any oven gloves.

  • "We had a lovely 4 night’s staying at Bryn Goleu and the view from the upstairs lounge was amazing."

A lot of hard work has gone into this home to make it so comfortable and relaxing. Our Labrador enjoyed the secure garden and it’s a great sun trap too. We will certainly recommend Bryn Goleu to our family & friends. One of the highlights was watching Moelfre lifeboat being launched which is right by the property. Look out for these regular practice launches.

  • "Gorgeous cottage we loved the location- the rooms were all lovely and the view was spectacular !"

The local village pub, shop and cafe were within 2 mins walking distance and the beach was a great place for a walk/ play / swim - the cottage was lovely and quiet but not too remote - perfect for our family. We found that the toilet in the main bathroom had some issue once flushed it kept running but we got used to that… the front door also got stuck so we couldn’t fully open it which was normally fine except for when we were bringing our baby pram in and out - just small things which could maybe be easily fixed for next time! We can’t wait to come back again.

.no bbq ..WiFi completely down for 2 days no internet , no tv ..but,,the cottage was clean and comfortable and the views are amazing …shame no binoculars,, not many games to play for rainy days.. not quite as fully equipped as other cottages we have stayed in ,, but would still recommend it

  • "What a special place."

I was here with a group of friends for our 43 year friendship anniversary. We all loved the house and it was perfect for our needs. Everything we could have thought of was there, very well equipped and everything was spotless. Word of caution for anyone with mobility or sight issues there are several little steps around the ground floor and out into the garden. The garden at the back is a little suntrap. Perfect location with a fantastic view across the bay. Short stroll into the village there is a bit of a hill to get back to the property. Easy access onto the coastal path in both directions. Very close to the RNLI museum/shop I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bryn Goleu

  • "A wonderful house with beautiful sea views to die for."

4 family members took advantage of this property for the "hot week" in August, easy to get to, easy to keep cool and keep clean. Good choice of beds as the property is for 7 people so everyone happy. We di have a problem with the washing machine which jammed on the first use and our clothes remained inside for 3/4 days. Sykes staff were most helpful in organising a plumber who came on our last day!

  • "Wonderful location for a much needed break."

A week of family time, spent reading and renewing in front of a beautiful view. Well presented, thoughtfully presented property. Practical with ample kitchen equipment and clever configuration of the rooms. Parking on drive a bonus as car parking opposite rarely had spaces. A moments stroll to the pebbly beach and back door access to property a great way to clean down. Must remember to take the back door key with us though as the rear safe key box wouldn't open with the code used for front. Decor was functional with a coastal vibe style. Stair gate a welcome addition along with a vacuum cleaner. Working for the NHS I an a bit of a clean freak and was nice to have equipment to keep the property looking as fresh as it did on arrival. Beds super comfortable and attention to detail given with quality of linen. WiFi worked well for checking emails and kids didn't complain about any issues when attached to the TV watching Internet videos. Would have been nice to be able to open sky lights however I can understand why the owners have decided against this as one forgotten open window would mean a very soggy bed! Have not visited Moelfre before and glad we did. This was the perfect property to shake away the last 2 years of work and rebuild. The appearance of the window cleaner appearing in the padlocked garden was a surprise, have no issue with maintenence, however would have been preferable to have awareness that this may happen. As don't think anyone wants to see me naked through the shower window! Would love the opportunity to come back out of summer season and experience the area with a winter hue and see the changing landscapes. This week long break made such a difference and I realised how much it was needed. Thank you for all the time and effort put into this property, and for sharing it with us.

  • "On arrival for the first time at this house, we were very disappointed that there was no welcome pack."

The property is a bit tired especially the bathroom, a socket was broken in the main bedroom. Not good if children had been staying. The decoration was very clean, lovely views from the lounge, good position. Would stay again.

  • "The cottage is lovely and has absolutely stunning sea views."

The village is very nice and the cottage is well located. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 children. I think it was the best equipped cottage I’ve been to for self catering. The only thing missing was instructions for recycling and emptying the bins (days, bags needed etc.). Overall, we had a great holiday.

Thank you for your feedback on Bryn Goleu. We do apologize for the issue of the underwear we do our upmost to fully check the property before our guests arrive and apologize if this was over looked. Thank you for making us aware of the damage to the airer and we have now replaced this. Water was not heated sufficiently for 3 morning showers and considering that the cottage sleeps 7 and there was only 3 of us. Possibly the temperature needs to be altered or time adjusted. Incredible cottage with magnificent views. The token welcome gift of a bottle of wine and cake was much appreciated and a very nice touch from the owners. We would definitely book this cottage again.

  • "Owner contacted me on day of arrival because of issues from the previous visitors."

As I result I contacted him with several issues during the stay, all of which were addressed. It did however lead me to wonder what the process is for reporting wear and tear generally as I suspect some of the issues I reported may have been there a while, eg light bulbs needing replacement. Do people worry they will be blamed and charged if they report them. One problem we had was a leaking kettle which would have ruined the worktop if left.

It had everything we needed and was very cosy and warm when the weather was wet and windy in a cold February. Everything was extremely easy to use and the instructions were easy to follow. The village was really nice with a good pub and cafe. Plenty of walks to be done from the house or with a short drive. Would highly recommended this property to anyone wanting to visit Anglesey.
