The village of Kilfenora in County Clare is located in The Burren region of the county, and benefits from local amenities including Vaughan’s pub and restaurant. Rich in unusual plant life, The Burren is ideal for nature lovers, while walkers and wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy the Burren National Park. Lisdoonvarna, Ireland's premiere Spa town, and home to the 150 year old Matchmaking Festival, is only a short drive from Kilfenora, and offers pubs, restaurant and lively Irish music, while the seaside resort of Lahinch is only a little further. Lying on the shores of Liscannor Bay, Lahinch offers visitors 2km of sandy beaches and great golfing opportunities, and with surfing, sailing, diving and fishing on offer, there is plenty to keep everybody occupied. Cyclists can enjoy one of the many winding coastal paths, while the Burren Way and Cliffs of Moher provide great terrain for walkers of all abilities.

Kilfenora 5 miles. Standing alone amidst rolling fields, this lovely, detached cottage sits on the outskirts of the village of Carron, five miles from Kilfenora, County Clare, on the main R480 road. Light and airy, this single storey Carron cottage has been restored and renovated to provide high-quality Irish holiday cottage accommodation, ideal for families. The large, open plan living space in this Carron cottage is great for spending time together, while the fresh, modern bedrooms offer a peaceful retreat. Across the road from this Carron cottage is the famous Caherconnell Fort; the ancient Ring Fort is exceptionally well-preserved, and offers a visitor centre and popular tea rooms for guests. 30 minutes' drive will take you to the Cliffs of Moher and the beach at Lahinch; with great walking for all abilities, the Cliffs of Moher are ideal for walkers and nature lovers alike, while the seaside resort of Lahinch, with 2km of sandy beach, is perfect for family fun. With walking, cycling, golf and horse riding opportunities in the area, and angling available in Corofin, 8 miles away, this Carron cottage is the perfect base for enjoying County Clare, all year round.
