1 Customer Review

  • "The accommodation looks nice to begin, but there were several small repair and maintenance issues which amounted to it being less than expected."

There is condensation in the bedroom which is making walls wet. The bathroom sink plug is eroded by cleaning products and doesn't open and close. the kitchen tap is leaking water at the base of the fixing. the microwave is rusty. Bedroom furniture is 'wedged up' to compensate uneven floors but this makes the drawers rickety and not opening fully without a yank. The furniture fixings throughout are 'loose' - the sort of 'flat pack' furniture that wears quickly. But also - the sauna and gym facilities were completely closed and in poor repair - so we couldn't use these as a feature of the booking. Very disappointing. On-site staff were helpful (supplying a replacement bottle opener and extra towels). But generally this site is shabby and perhaps not what it was. Good location for walking but very ordinary town. We therefore ask for some compensation for the lack of site faculties. Photos can be supplied.

LLANRWST

Betws-y-Coed 4 miles; Conwy 10 miles.

Llanrwst is a thriving market town which stands in the beautiful Conwy Valley, only four miles from picturesque Betws-y-Coed, known as the 'Gateway to Snowdonia' and which is North Wales's most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. The village has shops, pubs, places to eat, miniature railway, a riverside golf course and the Woodland High Rope Activity Centre, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, as well as being the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast and the lovely towns of Llandudno and Conwy.
