  • "Such an amazing holiday home."

Perfectly clean, great facilities and the view, wow! The beds are so comfortable and the property feels very homely. Very generous welcome package as well. It’s only a short walk to the beach and local shops/pubs which is very convenient. We will definitely be back!

  • "Rosemount is a delightful place to stay."

It felt very warm and welcoming. It was spotlessly clean. It has spectacular views of St. Michael's Mount and is very convenient to explore the whole area of South Cornwall and the Lizard Peninsula. The only down points are the house is at the top of quite a steep hill if you are walking up from Marazion and the steps up to the house itself are quite steep too. To be fair, both of these points were made clear in the house description when we booked. Also, whoever wrote the instructions to get to the house needs to check their Maths! It said when facing "Rose Hill Cottage" do "a 180"(?) to turn up to Rosemount.....a "180" means you turn right around and go back the way you came! Did it not mean a "90 degree" right hand turn up to "Rosemount"? I hope me pointing this out helps future visitors. Best wishes, Ray and Alison Williams.

Thanks for your comment on my direction error, I will get it amended. In 2 years rental you are the first to spot my school boy error! Glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "When we arrived at the property it was apparent that the adjacent property was in the process of being renovated."

I contacted the caretaker and she assured me that she had spoken to the builders and they said that the following week the painters would be working only. At 0800 on the monday 9th Oct drilling, sanding and banging commenced and lasted the rest of our stay, in additon a gardener with a petrol strimmer and chain saw was attacking the overgrown garden and this continued all week. I mentioned this to the caretaker and she relayed this to the Owner

  • "A well presented house with all you could wish for in a holiday let."

Stunning views across the bay from various levels from bedroom to back garden. Would definitely stay at again. Steep inclines and quite a few steps might be a problem if you have mobility problems and access roads are a tight squeeze if you have a big car. Lovely town and beach, easy driving distances to numerous towns, villages and coastal beauty spots. Would love to own this property!

  • "The accommodation was superb and we were extremely comfortable."

The only difficulty we had was finding the property as the signage for Rose Hill was not obvious. Negotiating the drive up is tricky but we got used to it and the views make it all worth while.

Our Only regret is can’t be kept a SECRET. This is a property that can be enjoyed no matter what the season or the weather. It was a privilege to have had the chance to stay at this extremely well maintained facility.

  • "Rosemount is a really fabulous property, very clean, everything provided and the most wonderful views!"

The bed was extremely comfortable too and it is a special place to stay. The information provided in the house was very useful. It was great to be so close to Marazion, meaning an easy walk down to the shops, pubs, beach and of course St Michael's Mount. Coming back was a slightly different matter, with an uphill walk, the very steep drive and then the 37 uneven height steps to the front door! The price you pay for such amazing views and very definitely worth it! We arrived after a 6 hour drive and went straight down to the Kings Arms - although their kitchen was closed, they were happy to make us fish and chips which we ate outdoors at the end of April. Other outings to recommend were the Shipwrights Arms at Helford, Roskillys near St Keverne, Sennen Cove, Trengwainton, Tremenheere and Trebah Gardens, plus a meal at the Mexico Inn. Next time we'll try the Victoria Inn at Perranuthnoe.too. Additional notes which might help: The listing does now show that there are a number of steps to the front door and out to the garden at the back and I think this is a recent addition as I called up about this before staying. I had thought about bringing my parents but they would not have been able to manage the steps, or the walk to/from town with the steep drive. It might help to note on the booking that there are 37 steps to the front door (no handrail in places), four to go upstairs inside or 9 to go downstairs, two down from the back door and 19 up to the garden, some with very high risers. The garden is also not enclosed for pets which we only realised once we got there, but we made a slight barricade with the bin, so that he couldn't go round the side. A van was parked half way up the drive, at the 180 turn, and didn't move all the time we were there. We have quite a long car which meant a multi-point turn to only just make it past! The directions were very clear if coming from Marazion, but our satnav brought us from the other direction, meaning it was impossible to turn up the drive from that way, plus took us up another drive way first! This is not at all to detract from the property, but might help those who would struggle with that amount of steps. It really is a wonderful place to stay!

  • "Wow!! What a wonderful property"

! From the minute we walked through the door we felt at home. The views are to die for, the place is spotless and one of the best beds I've slept in. The garden is great for the dog with great seating areas. Everything has been thought about. Just note there is a lot of steps up to the property but worth it when you get to the top. We have never felt so relaxed The area is lovely with dog friendly pubs and hotels within walking distance. It's an hour walk along the sea front to Penzance but you can also catch a bus which is a 10 min journey. We can't wait to return
