  • "This is probably the most well presented and clean property I’ve experienced."

It literally was home from home. It’s so good I’ve booked again for next year already. Thank you.

  • "Delightful place."

Well located and very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay in Penzance and would definitely stay at Hidden Door if we return to Penzance. Some noise from upstairs neighbours but otherwise perfect.

  • "Hidden Door is a real hidden gem!"

The property is surprisingly spacious and had everything you could possibly need for a self-catering break. The property was very clean and comfortable and stylishly decorated; it was such a relaxing and welcoming space to spend time in. The owner had thoughtfully provided an excellent guide to the property and the local area, which was very helpful. We had a lovely time and we hope to be back again soon!

  • "This was the best holiday accommodation we have stayed in."

The little apartment is very well furnished and equipped. The bed and sofa are very comfortable. The kitchen has everything we could want. The location is really convenient for shops, transport, bars and restaurants. Parking can be difficult, but we arrived on a bank holiday weekend.

  • "It was the perfect little apartment for the 2 of us."

We wanted somewhere homely to come back to after going to different towns each day and have the option to cook too, so this was just right for us! It had everything we needed and more. It was exceptionally clean and well presented. It was lovely to read about the owner’s background and her mum (Phillipa) was very responsive over text with any questions we had. Great hosts!

About the location

PENZANCE

St Ives 8 miles. Helicopter to Isles of Scilly - 30 minutes

Penzance hosts Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival. There are also The Exchange, Newlyn and Penlee Art Galleries. One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas is the spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, the coastline hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves as well as winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by a causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as it is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Isles of Scilly as well as being the harbor. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.
