The property

Bay View is a spacious, three bedroom detached house, with some of the best sea views in the area stretching from Newlyn Harbour over Mounts Bay to St Michaels Mount.

The views are enabled by its location at the top of the hill above the stunning working harbour of Newlyn, making this delightful dwelling an ideal choice for a family, group of friends, or even sharing couples seeking a relaxing, self-catered escape to the south west of England.

The house itself boasts views from all rooms and is an up-side down house with the kitchen/diner, cloakroom, lounge, and balcony upstairs, to make the most of the elevation, and the three double bedrooms and bathroom on the lower floor.

There is ample parking space for two or even three cars, a utility room and a large garden that catches the evening sun.

The house is well purposed for holiday letting and has been refurbished throughout with new beds and mattresses, 100% cotton linens, organic cotton towels (beach towels supplied) in the three large bedrooms.

One of the bedrooms has a king-size bed and the other two can either be made up with a king-size bed or with two single beds; all bedrooms have ample storage space, extra throws, and cushions.

There is a lounge, that easily seats six, and has a balcony, excellent for morning coffee or evening drinks.

The kitchen/diner is well-equipped for cooking and has lots of glasses, crockery, cutlery etc and a large dining table, and yes, another spectacular view!

The fishing village of Newlyn with its restaurants, pubs, and cafes; a selection of shops including a butcher, bakers, greengrocers, the fabulous Newlyn cheese shop, three fishmongers, a pharmacy, and a Co-Op, is a short walk away.

Newlyn itself has a lot to offer including the famous Newlyn art gallery and a beach.

Newlyn is located within walking distance of the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole and the town of Penzance, with its promenade and many activities, shops, and restaurants.

It is just a short drive or bus journey to some of the most beautiful beaches in the UK, including Sennen and Porthcurno, where the Minack theatre is, as well as the historic world heritage tin coast (think Poldark).

Newlyn is also on the South-West Coast Path; so if you are into walking this is a great base.

This house and its location are ideal for couples, families, or friends.

About the location

NEWLYN

Penzance 1.2 miles; Marazion 6.6 miles; St Ives 8.9 miles.

Nestled next to Penzance, and although still a quaint town in its own right, Newlyn is actually the third largest fishing port in England, and an important Port of Refuge for all seafaring craft. This Cornish town is clustered around the harbour, with its historic 800 year old quay (the Mayflower actually left for America from this quay, not Plymouth) curling around a few small boats on the western side. Famous for the Newlyn school of Art and Newlyn Copper, the Cornwall Coastal Path passes through the town, as does the level Mousehole to Marazion cycle path. An abundance of wildlife and flora can be enjoyed along both, with basking sharks, dolphins and grey seals often seen. The Cornish coast is renowned for surfing, and Penwith offers some splendid beaches on which to enjoy this sport as well as surf fishing for sea bass. Mounts Bay also offers a wealth of opportunity for watersports enthusiasts as well as giving visitors an opportunity to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings.
