  • "We loved our stay at Pendeen!"

It is a really well equipped house, with everything you need for cooking at home etc, comfy beds, and a dining room which I used to work in , with excellent WiFi.The house is beautifully clean and being able to have some heating on for the chillier evenings was a bonus! A short walk into town was great, and we can recommend The Stepping Stone restaurant particularly. We hope to come back in the future.

Ideal location, just a short walk from centre of Wadebridge which has numerous places to eat and drink and lovely individual shops. We enjoyed our stay at Pendeen very much. Thank you.

  • "This was the second time we stayed at Pendeen and once again we really enjoyed it."

The cottage is well equipped and spacious, the three bedrooms allowing my son and daughter to have their own private space. Dining spaces in the kitchen for a quick breakfast and dining room for a long relaxed evening meal is a great feature. The location close to the centre of Wadebridge is excellent for us, being less busy than the coastal villages, and easy to get out and about. The cottage is a short walk from the park which the children enjoy and also the local shops. The coop is close and useful but I thoroughly recommend the independent shops. We had amazing local Scallops and Mussels from the Fishmonger, beef from the butchers and bread from the bakers. Going further, Pendeen is handy for the Camel trail, a great way to get to Padstow with it’s beautiful harbour and great restaurants downstream, and woodlands to Bodmin and Wenfordbridge upstream. Be sure to stop at the cafe for a cream tea or Camel Valley fizz. There are many great bits of coastline less than 30 mins drive away. We enjoyed both the bustling beach at Polzeath and the quieter coastal walks around Lundy and Port Quin. Thoroughly recommend!

  • "A lovely spacious and comfortable bungalow."

It got over warm although the weather was quite cold. With the current cost of fuel I think some sort of temperature control for the whole system would be a benefit to keep a constant temperature instead of all or nothing. Having said that we would certainly return to Pendeen in the future.

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Pendeen. All the radiators have thermostatic controls which can be adjusted up and down to suit individual requirements and we apologise if this wasn't obvious - we definitely don't want anyone wasting fuel! Property Owner

It is well appointed, presented, and very clean. We enjoyed being in Wadebridge and felt it was better than being in the tourist 'hustle and bustle'. It was also easy to access the rest of Cornwall If offers very good value and we would not hesitate to stay there again

  • "The location of the house was ideal for us as it was just a couple of minutes walk into Wadebridge (which is a lovely small town) and we were also able to cycle on the Camel Trail - it was an easy flat route along to Padstow."

The house had everything we needed and though the decor/kitchen was a little dated, for a holiday home it provided a comfortable stay and there was plenty of storage space! The garden was private and sunny. There were several beaches within 10-15 minutes drive e.g Harlyn, Polzeath, Daymer Bay and also coastal walks. If you don't want to be right at the beach, this is a good cottage to choose.

  • "The house was very clean and well equipped and beds were comfortable, generally very good."

A couple of reclining type chairs would have been nice to enjoy the sun in the garden and some bigger towels, maybe bath sheets . The main problem that we found is that the ceiling in the master bedroom next to the bed was very sloped and as we are both 6’ tall we did bang our heads a couple of times . Overall though I would say 4/5 because of these small points. Location was great, just a five minute walk to Wadebridge shops and cafes

Good parking for two cars. The only irritation was a decoration of fairy lights on the master bedhead which made sitting up to read uncomfortable.

It would have been nice {having not seen one} to have had a visitors book there, where visitors could leave tips on where to eat/drink, visits etc and could leave info especially for people new to Cornwall. The above is not a criticism we enjoyed our stay and will certainly look on your sight the next time

The photographs do not do it justice. It is very spacious. It is spotlessly clean and very well furnished and equipped. Beautiful garden. Well located, a few minutes walk into the town centre and 5 minutes to the A39 so travelling to other areas of Cornwall is convenient. I would recommend this cottage.

A bit disappointed with the water heating up needs updating new boiler etc it’s the only negative feedback the cottage is well placed and comfortable to stay in if we came back to wadebridge we would use again

The water at Pendeen is heated by a conventional boiler three times a day. If additional hot water is required a +1hr button can be used by the customer. The mains pressure hot water system ensures that the showers are lovely and refreshing. When we investigated the customer's concerns we discovered that the timer had inadvertently been switched off, therefore the problem was quickly rectified. Property Owner

  • "Well, we have just spent a great week at Pendeen, Wadebridge."

The house is lovely and very well equipped and it had such a homely feel we felt very relaxed here. The beds were super comfy and the house is spacious and well located. We holidayed with our six year old daughter and my mother in law and we all had a fantastic time. The house was within walking distance of town which had a great variety of shops, restaurants and a few take aways. We took the bus to padstow, visited Lanhydrock (national trust), the lost gardens of heligan, local beaches, port issac and the camel trail is just down the road. The enclosed garden was great to sit in at the end of a busy day and for my daughter to run around. There is so much to see in the area I'm sure we will be back next year!

  • "A very well appointed house, with everything we we required, the property was spotless and the beds comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep."

Two of us love baths and two prefer showers so we were well catered for. It is in easy reach of the town and ideally placed for visiting the area. Whilst at Pendeen we were able to go to two National Trust properties, Trerice and Trelissick, which we were close by. We enjoyed a very pleasant stay, the main purpose of our visit was to catch up with friends in the area, although would have preferred more spring like weather, but even Sykes Cottages can’t arrange that! Thank you.
