  • "Beautiful property, spacious and well equiped."

Could not fault the standard of cleanliness. However, there were a few problems: The heating was sporadic, never knew what time it would come on - Monday it came on at 21:30!!! A welcome pack would have been a nice touch particularly after traveling four and a half hours. Wednesday just after 9 am thee men apeared in the garden and started leafblowing, jetwashing the steps and patio and weeding - luckily we were up and had planned to be out for the day. Pre warning would have been nice!! A visitors book would be useful so that guest could share their experiences, excursions and dining recommendations whilst staying in this fabulous area of north Cornwall. Annie and John Stratford from Newbury, Berkshire

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. The issue with the heating is odd as it is on a timer and should come on way before 9.30! Our apologies for the gardeners turning up unannounced. We do make them aware of the changeover days but sadly when they carry out the work is beyond our direct control. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays and to the owner. We are glad that you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "Lovely property with a lovely view."

Only criticism is that it would have been nice to have a few logs supplied for at least when you arrive so you can light the fire. Apart from that the property was great.

Thankyou so much for your feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! As our properties are of a self catering nature. We do not provide logs and such but we understand the frustration. We hope we can have you back in the future! - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

Thank you for your suggestions on how to improve the property, all feedback is shared with the owner and following this we will draw up instructions on how to adjust the heating manually, we only wished you contacted us during your stay as we could have remotely upped the heating asap for you! • "Overall our stay was a pleasant experience."

The bungalow is in a great location, with wonderful views over Port Isaac harbour. Spacious, clean & comfortable, the utility room was especially useful as we were there for the 2nd half of a 2 week break. We did, however, have a few niggles. It's a pity that the exterior of the bungalow doesn't match the standard of the interior. We were disappointed on arrival at it's quite shabby (compared to photos) appearance, so it was a relief that inside lived up to expectations. In October, generally, the weather begins to cool down, especially in the evening. In the first few days, it was a surprise that we were unable to have any control over heat from either radiators or towel rails...towels had to be dried on the electric airer in the utility. After a visit to the local office & a maintenance man being sent around (while we were out), we had what appeared to be sporadic heat in the towel rails, though still not in our control. . The radiators never came on. If this was due to the thermostat, it needs to be said that the temperature in the living area was considerably lower than in the internal hall where it is positioned. The wood burner is of no use as an additional source of heat unless actual logs are used as well as the small amount of kindling...or were we supposed to provide them? The info said fuel was provided. Luckily, for the last few days we had a very unseasonable heat wave, so the lack of heating wasn't a problem, but the point is still valid that the control of the heating remotely is not ideal Lastly, 3 dishwasher tablets for a 7 day stay? Three quarters of a toilet roll in the ensuite ? Really?? At over £800 for the week, on the mean side to say the least!

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay and raising these concerns with us. Since your departure we have reviewed these issues, and all have now been sorted! Our apologies for the confusion regarding the provision of logs, ‘fuel’ relates to electricity and gas etc. As a self-catering holiday, guests need to provide their own logs. On that note, due to the self-catering nature of our properties, we provide a starting measure of dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls etc. for our guests’ first night or so. Once again, our apologies if this was not communicated to you. Once again, these have been fixed/cleared on the site so these will not be a problem going forward. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back anytime in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Fantastic location, what a view."

Very comfortable clean accommodation. Kitchen well stocked with the necessary utensils. The utility room with shower was an excellent way to use the space. Welcome package would have been useful. Milk, eggs, bottle of wine, biscuits. Picnic equipment would be useful. Duvet was way too thick. Would highly recommend Harbour Heights

  • "The property was lovely, modern & clean and in a great location - just a 10min downhill walk to the quaint village of Port Isaac and walking distance of Port Gaverne."

The house is spacious and well equipped with an outdoor terrace offering amazing views of the ocean and the port. A great base to explore the many stunning beaches of North Cornwall. The only thing we could have done with during our stay was a tumble dryer. We had torrential rain on our first day so everything was soaked and took days to dry as there was only an air dryer in utility room which didn't seem to be very effective.
