  • "We really enjoyed our stay at sea spray and the fact that the beach was across the street."

The property was just right and clean so it made our stay even better. We slept in the bed on the mezzanine which was comfortable but a bit of a bouncy mattress, but nevertheless we slept well. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. The bathroom was fine even with the toilet in the small space. Overall we have nothing to complain about. Thanks again for your help in getting it right. x

I’m so pleased you enjoyed your stay Hopefully we will see you soon Property Owner

  • "Thank you very nice stay."

Plenty of heaters. Nice towels, good bedding and bed. Lovely views. Settee upholstery would benefit from a bit of a clean but otherwise very clean throughout. Will definitely come again. Thank you.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found it comfortable enough to meet your needs. We are aware that the settee needs a good cleaning, and we are in the process of arranging this to be done. Our goal is always to ensure that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience with us. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

  • "I have stayed many times in the Seaspray apartments but I am afraid I will not be staying at 16 again."

I have had a very cold week with only 1 small heater, not ‘heating’ as was listed in the description. The apartment is in dire need of refurbing as well as having old fashioned furniture and awful rotating fans for the main lights. The kitchen storage has no space for your provisions as it is full of crockery and picnic plastics. The only good things I can say is with taking a dog the floors were easy to look after and the sofa was comfy. Sorry I don’t like to be negative but I expected more from a Sykes cottage which we have used before.

Thank you for your review I’m so glad you found the flat easy with regards to dogs I will definitely look into more heaters for the flat for the colder days of the year Thank you Property Owner

Well where do I start, on arrival we found the key lock box old and in need of a new one, the front door and the mat full of dirt and cobwebs, entering the apartment the wood flooring was springy and the beading that goes on the wood flooring to the skirting was rotten, in the bed room we found cobwebs between the beds on the skirting which tells me that there is not much cleaning going on, and that showed all through the apartment, by the fridge there was a nail sticking out of the beading which is very dangerous and as we had our dog she could have caught herself, as for the cooker well there is no way we were going to use it as dirty and rusty, the armchair has seen better days, the Wi-Fi was very hit and miss, then we come to what I would call the main problem which is the sliding doors they did not close properly there was a big gap at the bottom where we had to put a tea towel to try and block the gap, on going out onto the decked balcony it has not been treated so it was like an ice rink when it got wet, looking at the guttering over the sliding doors it is all smashed which causes a big draft, the beds were ok but no brilliant, on a positive note the views from the balcony are stunning, it all really needs a good makeover, we have taken photos if you need to see what we mean, it did spoil a holiday as the pictures that a on your website look nice, but unfortunately it wasn’t, I hope we get a reply from yourselves or the owners, perhaps yourselves and/or the owners should pay a visit to check things out, as it is not worth the money we paid, very disappointing

Good morning mr Norris I’m so sorry to hear about the cleaning I actually pay a lot to an outside company to clean and change the beds etc so disappointing that you found that flat Like that If you could forward me the pictures I can forward these to the cleaning company I will pop down As soon as I can as the Wi-Fi this is a first as porthtowan has just been upgraded as a whole I will certainly look into the rest of the email and sort as soon as I can Thank you for your comments Property Owner

  • "Not As Clean As We Thought No Cooker It Was Not Working A-tall."

Car Parks Really Need Looking Into. As It’s A Long Walk Away From Seaspray People Parking Where You Want To Get Closer To The Flat. When You’re 70 Years Old You Don’t Need Any Stress Or Anxiety Carrying Things And Luggage Up Hills And Down Hills Really Terrible. Had Trouble with The Doors Opening And Closing Them. No Lights Out of The Front Very Dark At Night. Really Great To Go Home It Was So Terribly Dark At Seaspray. Only thing that Was Good Was The Great View. Will Not Be Back. It Was Just To Much For Older People To Know What To Expect. We Need A Good Rest To Get Over The Stress Of Staying There. It Looked Great On The Sykes Holiday Menu. But Seeing Is Believing And It Was Not What We Expected From Sykes Holidays. Nothing Went Right. We’re Shattered. It Was A Surfing Community Of People. But Not For US.

  • "Property was a little tired and not terribly clean, especially the kitchen utensils and crockery etc, but for the price we didn't expect perfection and most importantly the beds were really comfy."

Appreciated the little extras supplied and the informality of the appartment. Superb location and lovely to be so close to the beach and the general buzz of the shops and cafes below. Amazing views from the terrace. Overall loved it - thank you so much to the owners for sharing this delightful little place.

  • "Beautiful location and clean, comfortable, well equipped apartment."

We were 2 couples and there was room for us all to feel comfortable. We had a problem with the hot tap and the owner brought a plumber as soon as she could ( it was bank holiday weekend) and she gave us a bottle of Prosecco. There were scones, clotted cream and jam on arrival and all kitchen equipment we needed. A good holiday if only the weather had been kinder!! I highly recommend this apartment.

Thank you for your lovely feedback So glad you enjoyed our little piece of Cornish heaven Property Owner

  • "Stunning location, shame about the accommodation."

Very tired and grubby and needs a good deal of maintenance. Furniture and fittings old and in desperate need of TLC, electric kept tripping out, bathroom and downstairs bedroom had an unpleasant smell and next door seems to be a cannabis den as the smell is constantly there and became awkward using the balcony as we were in plain sight of people getting high (not a great environment for an 11 year old child) If we had booked for longer than a weekend we would have left early. VERY DISSAPOINTED

  • "Fabulous view and location, and bedlinen and towels were faultlessly clean, however the rest of the apartment was dated and needed a good clean with dust and general grubbiness all over."

When arrived there was dirty crockery in cupboards and all glasses and cuterlery needed cleaning. The kitchen was dated and clutered with too many odd glasses, plates and mugs there was no matching set. The floors had not been mopped and there was a not nice smell in the bathroom all week. The throws on the lounge seats were not clean. In the bedrooms the upstairs Velux window had no blind and a broken window latch in the downstairs bedroom. Overall disappointed with the apartment for the money, could have been so much better with a little thought and investment to the facilities. We'll not be returning...
