  • "The property was great."

Richard was very helpful. Bottle of bubbles appreciated. I would have appreciated a non slip mat for the shower base.

  • "The owner was wonderful!"

Not only were we able to get in early ( much appreciated after all night flight) he saved the day after we locked the keys inside ( due to sister miscommunication!). He came over and got them for us. Lovely, comfortable place, kitchen fun to use with everything we needed. Loved seeing the snow on the patio through the sliding glass doors.

We were very comfortable for our entire stay. Bus stop was indeed a 2 minute walk and the bus very regular and on time. There was a local shop near the bus stop which we found very handy. Wonderful place to stay while visiting our granddaughter who is at Bristol Uni. She showed us around both Bath and Bristol. Wonderful city break which we have not done for a long time. Thank you.

The main bedroom was too small for a king sized bed and moving arround it was difficult. Everything we needed was provided, with the important exception of a loo brush!

Dear Mary thank you for your rating/review - we have aimed to fully utilise the space available hence the King size bed with the view of providing the highest level of comfort and now tends to be a preference by the majority of guests Take care Kind regards Richard Property Owner

Plenty of room in the kitchen dinning living room area and a spacious bathroom. Parking is a bit of a faff but you can find a space within a couple of hundred metres. Within walking distance of Bath itself as well as close to some shops for groceries. Owners are very friendly and provide a welcome pack with good information about the house and the area.

  • "Countess Chapel is an ideal place to stay when visiting Bath."

The accommodation was very clean and well equipped- only real quibble is that there isn’t much extra space in the main bedroom as it would be nice to have room to hang clothes up, but the storage provided makes the most of the space available. The property is ideally placed to walk into the city centre via Victoria Park, and there is a bus stop within a couple of minute’s walk. Lovely walks on the doorstep too. Richard provided lots of helpful information about the accommodation and the local area in advance of our visit and called soon after we arrived to check all was well, which was a nice touch. The welcome gifts were appreciated too! We’d definitely consider staying here again if we return to Bath and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at Countess Chapel.

  • "Had a lovely week stay."

The cottage has everything we needed. It’s an old Chapel which has been renovated to appear modern but still holds a charm. It was bigger than I thought it would be, perfect size for a couple. The french Windows let a lot of light in, unlike some other properties we have stayed in. It’s around a 40 minute walk into Bath Centre, there is a bus available but we didn’t use it as the weather was nice. But also the walk was through Victoria Park so it was a lovely walk and we passed the royal crescent each morning. The owner Richard rang me to made sure we had got there okay and left some Prosecco which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to explore Bath as I thought the cottage was reasonably priced compared to other hotels/properties in the centre of Bath. Thank you for a great stay.

  • "A lovely, comfortable, peaceful place to stay - close to supermarket and bus stop and parking no problem."

Good value. Well-maintained, spotlessly clean and well-equipped. (a few more glass tumblers would be good and a safer potato peeler!!). We also thought that not being able to open and close the Velux windows independently was very odd. Either they were ALL closed or ALL open. The owner is aware and hopefully will address it. Being able to control ventilation is important. We would happily recommend this place and would book again.

  • "This is an immaculate property."

I loved the atmosphere of the renovated church and it was wonderfully clean and cosy. The bed was very comfortable with a plentiful supply of pillows. The home is equipped with anything you could possibly need, though I would’ve appreciated a drying rack as once you have washed your clothes after getting them muddy there are only the radiators to dry them on (but this did work very well). I did also find the property a little cold even with the heating so would recommend slippers and a blanket if you’re coming to stay here. It is very close to the bus stop to give a quick ride into the town centre and has a shop just round the corner for anything you might need. The owner was also incredibly friendly and helpful, and included a property guide book. This even included recommendations for places to eat and visit which would be good for first time visitors to bath, as well as instructions on how to use the coffee machine which was very useful. The chocolates and little bottle of rose was also a lovely touch. Overall, I loved my stay here and will definitely come back again when staying in bath.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and taking the time to leave your review - sorry you did not find the drying rack situated just outside the sliding doors [ included in our property guide] so will make it more readily available and easier to find for guests in the future - would be great to see you again at some time Property Owner
