  • "Cosy and warm, greeted by a fantastic package of fresh bread, eggs, milk and the most delicious brownies and chutney too!"

This cottage has everything you need, along with a comfy bed. We had good weather (having left Suffolk in floods) sunshine most days. Beautiful walks and a tasty Sunday lunch at The Bell, then back to relax in tbe hot tub... didn't want to come back to reality! Would definitely return!

  • "The Dairy Barn was cute and well stocked with lovely brownies to welcome us."

The hosts were friendly and the bed comfortable. The hot tub was lovely with an easy to open lid. However the sign to the property was hard to see, with the name only at the bottom, while the next sign had the farm name was clearly labeled causing us to have difficulties finding the correct location. The carpet was dirty and the vacuum cleaner is not fit for shag. I have sensation issues and even with that I could still feel the dirt.

Shower excellent. Easy chair in lounge a bit worse for wear but settee comfortable. Guides on local attractions comprehensive as were instructions - for log burner etc, but no mention of the under floor heating and whether it was adjustable.

  • "The owners were very friendly and left us a very tasty welcome pack."

It was really nice having the hot tub to relax your aching muscles in. I would have preferred there had been a lawn or astro turf in the area by the hot tub instead of shingle as it was very uncomfortable to walk on where it had spilled onto the decking. I know being on a farm you expect there to be loads of flies but it was a bit excessive and overbearing at times. But saying all this we still had a very enjoyable vacation

Had every facility you could ask for and the owners Sue and Roger were so friendly and helpful. Barn was surprisingly spacious and had lovely rural views. Didn’t use the hot tub but that was our personal choice on this occasion.

Very comfortable and quiet. Perfect bed and mattress. Loved the hot tub outside to get either the sun or look at the the gorgeous evening skies. Many thanks to Sue and Roger for their hospitality and the welcome gift of homemade bread, chutney and local apple juice. Will hope to book again whenever we are visiting Worcestershire, Stratford or the Cotswolds.

There is a small garden with views and a hot tub (can’t comment on that as I didn’t use it). The owner leaves a welcome pack including bread, chocolate brownies and eggs. Although, the kitchen and bathroom has many things there for you including bathrobes one thing you will need to bring is a toilet roll.

On the other hand will never use Sykes Cottages again. When you type in your dates Sykes website seems to set it to + or - 3 days by default, (which I failed to notice at the time). We asked for saturday to saturday and was given friday to friday which we didnt see until we got the confirmation. We phoned Sykes immediately (within seconds) and they truly couldnt of cared less, their only solution was to book another week at another £527 to get the saturday checkout. When we got to the accomodation it would of been no problem as there were no other bookings. So, be careful you double check when you book you have the dates you asked for.

This is not our usual expectation and would like to assure you that your issues are being handled. If you wish to discuss or elaborate more on the issues raised, please feel free to contact the Sykes office on the details below, quoting your booking reference number and any other information that may assist us in providing the best possible outcome and customer service. 01244 345 700 Lines are open 7 days a week from 9am until 7pm Property Owner

When we arrived we were greeted by Sue who is so lovely, she showed us to the cottage where we had a lovely surprise of delicious homebaked brownies, freshly baked bread, freshly laid eggs, local made apple juice and chutney and even milk in the fridge along with coffee etc. After a walk and dinner at the local pub, 10/15 minute walk, we came back to the cottage to use the hot tub, even though it was raining a little, the water was nice and hot and we relaxed after travelling most of the day. The cottage has everything you could need and it has been well thought out. The bed was a very comfortable sleigh bed and I slept so well, I woke once or twice listening to the silence, I have never been anywhere with no noise, an amazing place to relax after our stressful jobs.

As some places we've stayed are only equipped for overnight stays, we appreciated that Sue made sure that the Dairy Barn was well stocked with essentials for a longer stay. We loved that the place is down a quiet lane overlooking the hills and fields and enjoyed the company of Nigel and Nigella (cats) and visiting the cows in the barn.
