  • "What an amazing cottage."

It was stunning and the owners were so lovely and accommodating in every way. I am definitely staying here again and would highly recommend it. We had wine, cake, bread and all the essentials when we first arrived for us which was so thoughtful. We were also asked in advance if we had any food restrictions.

  • "Great property."

Hosts Sarah and Chris were around/contactable (as they live next door) if we needed anything. Lovely welcome pack that Sarah had taken the trouble to check for any dietary requirements. Beds and linen very comfy. Upside down configuration made most of the differing views from every window upstairs in the living area. Lovely and quiet and dark at night for great sleep. Good central spot for the Forest of Dean - walking and kayaking opportunities abound. Lots to do and see. Two good pubs to eat - The Yew Tree and Farmers Boy. Sorry that we only stayed 3 nights.

Thanks for taking the time to review our cottage. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again in the future. Sarah & chris Property Owner

Bedrooms on the ground floor then walk upstairs to the amazing living room. All 4 windows have a different view of the country side different view in every window just amazing. The high ceilings in the living room make it so cosy. Nothing you will want for as every thing is there. If you want to relax it has a lovely outdoor space where you can just chill out. So clean and tidy perfect place to stay. Visiting my son and his girlfriend in Gloucester just 20 minutes away perfect location if you want to just chill from all the hustle and bustle. Perfect to get to everywhere. My dog just relaxed from the minute we got there so safe for you dogs. I cannot recommend this enough perfect for a relaxing holiday. Sarah and Chris were so welcoming. Definitely coming back here on our next visit. The pictures don’t do it justice it’s so much better.

  • "We were looking for a short break over Easter in the Forest of Dean to do some walking and cycling."

After a bit of searching for a nice dog friendly, modern property in a good location, we found Sevenwoods View. Nestled in a quiet (albeit steep) country lane in the village of Longhope, was a new holiday home offering wonderful views of the countryside from it's reverse arranged living accommodation (bedrooms downstairs and lounge/kitchen/diner upstairs). This worked well for many reasons including countryside views, ease of washing the dog after muddy walks, and a light and airy feeling to the lounge due to the open roof void. Sevenwoods View is finished to a very high standard, and it felt like a real home from home, with an open plan living area that somehow felt really cosy. Was just the right space to chill out in at the end of an active day. It's clear that a great deal of though has gone into this property to make it a place that guests can really relax in. It's very peaceful there too. No passing traffic due to it's location, and you can see the sunrise and sunset from the wonderful panoramic views from the living area. Before, during, and after our stay, the communications with Sarah and Chris (the owners) was excellent. Sarah really did go out of her way to make sure that we had a comfortable stay. Both Sarah and Chris are really lovely people. On our arrival, there was a lovely welcome pack of cakes and bread etc. catering to our vegan diet - a really thoughtful gesture - thank you :-) If you are looking for a relaxing space to stay, run by lovely people, with pleasant country walks, a fabulous bakery just a stones throw away, and easy access by car to wonderful Forest walks and cycle rides, do not hesitate to book a break at Sevenwoods View. We will be planning a long weekend there again soon, and already know that we will be guaranteed a very warm welcome by Sarah and Chris (and Rio the dog!).

What a kind and quite honestly, humbling review. Thank you. Chris and I are delighted you, your family and of course Benji enjoyed your stay. And hope to see you all again in the future. Property Owner
