• "We absolutely loved our stay in The Coach House."

  It was in an ideal location. The village itself was lovely and so dog friendly. The Coach House was beautiful and cosy for a much needed lovely relaxing stay. Great to be able to park right outside the cottage too. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend. I am sure we will be back, just a shame it is only one bedroom as our daughter would have loved to come with us next time as we spoke so highly of our stay. Many thanks xx

• "This is a gem!"

  Perfectly located and it really is a home-from-home. The bed is so comfortable! Be aware - it would be quite easy to walk out of the upstairs bathroom and take a tumble down the spiral staircase, particularly after a few of the local ciders. Maybe a tasteful barrier could be installed for night time safety. We thorughly enjoyed our Coach House stay and would highly recommend it.

• "Lovely little house only a few minutes from the centre of Tewkesbury."

  Downstairs has a kitchen and living room , really comfortable sofas and a nice size tv which is unusual for lettings. The shower room downstairs was also handy . Upstairs there is a bathroom , landing area and nice size bedroom with a really comfortable bed and lots of bedding . We were concerned it would be cold and took throws etc but it wasn’t at all and infact we turned the thermostat down to 10c at night . Nice walks along the river , beautiful Christmas Eve service at the Abbey , some lovely meals out and we followed the heritage trail found on a booklet looking at the beautiful Tudor houses on a Christmas Day walk . Very near to our daughter in Cheltenham and nice to explore a new town . The bedroom, living areas and bathrooms were nice and clean . The only disappointing things we encountered was the fact that the kitchen could do with a really deep clean . The dish cloth really smelt and I had to soak it in boiled water and a little bleach before use . The kitchen drawers and cupboards had lots of crumbs etc . I emptied the cutlery drawer and washed it all and got rid of all the stains and crumbs but didn’t want to do any others on my holiday . The condiments and teas also need a good sort out as many have expired . This was also the only cottage we have ever been to that didn’t have a welcome pack . Some milk for a cup of tea etc would have been nice on arrival to save us going back out for it after our long drive . We really enjoyed our stay despite these little niggles and it was a lovely little Christmas.

  Dear Mr Peters, Thank you for booking to stay in the Coach House, and I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and spending Christmas there. However, I am somewhat devastated to hear of the issue with cleanliness. As we spend the winter months in South Africa, we have to rely upon others to maintain the property to our agreed standard. Bianca , whose details you should have found in the property in case of any issues, has always previously been excellent in this regard. I will send her a copy of your message, and await her response. I apologise most sincerely for any shortcomings you found. I will of course, get back to you once I have received her reply. Margaret Stark, I have now had a reply from Bianca, who has acknowledged, based on your comments, that the cleaning was not done to the required standard. We have changed a couple of things ie dish cloths replaced by new j cloths for each guest. We hope that these changes will result in our cleaning scores return to their normal level and no other guests will share your experience. Thank you for pointing out the flaws to us so that they can be quickly remedied. We hope that should you ever return to the Coach House you will have a spotless welcome. • "The Coach House was beautiful."

  The perfect holiday stay which was close to amenities and was equipped with everything you could ever need inside from towels to condiments. We had a brilliant time and didn’t want to come home.

• "We really enjoyed our stay and it was very convenient for central Tewkesbury."

  The cottage was finished to a high level and it was great to have 2 bathrooms. A few things would make it excellent: Outside security lights would help find the front door in the evening! A welcome note with Wi-Fi code, basic instructions for the heating control and oven/microwave. It would have been useful to be able to communicate with the owner while staying at the property. (We found id difficult using Sykes communication)

  Good Morning Glynis Thank you for your comments and the advice about getting an outside light fitted. We will put one up certainly when we return home if not before. I am as puzzled as you are about communication with Sykes which should be straightforward. Sykes have recently updated their Apps in which there there is a section where it allows guests and owners to communicate. Having sent 2 messages to you and not having received a reply I am now wondering if that section was working??? Property Owner

• "Great location- 5mins walk to town, has carpark space, clean, 2 bath/shower rooms one each floor."

  What I didn’t see listed but has a washing machine and iron. Well stocked kitchen and condiments, cleaning materials. We fed and watched the birds which was lovely. Negatives -not that was an issue but would be better if sorted - , the towel rail in the shower is positioned very near the shower, so if not careful when entering exiting the shower you can hurt yourself . It was a great place to stay, and I will definitely return if I was going back to Tewkesbury

• "Property was very comfortable and well located right by the town and the river."

• "Lovely property in great location with the addition of car parking."

  Could do with a gate to make the courtyard secure for our little dog, we managed using the car and the bins . Very steep spiral staircase. Great holiday !

• "Lovely little apartment set in the middle of Tewkesbury within easy reach of all pubs/restaurants."

  Two minutes from river walk. Nice base from where to explore the Cotswolds, would highly recommend this property.

• "Great location, central to town with shops & pubs just minutes away."

  Also a good base to explore Gloucestershire generally. We really enjoyed our visit & will definitely return soon. Would recommend a five bar gate across the front driveway with chicken wire stapled at bottom so your dog could stretch their legs safely.
