  • "We had a great stay at Beau’s House."

The house had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable break. Situated in a quiet village, it is easy to access the wider Cotswolds area for day trips and lovely walks. The ENCLOSED garden was great for our dogs. We would certainly stay here again and would recommend it as a great base for anyone visiting the area.

Thank you for the positive feedback we are delighted to hear you had a great stay at Beau’s House. Pleased the garden gave you peace of mind for your dogs. You are very welcome to stay any time and we appreciate you taking time to post a review. Kind regards Helen x Property Owner

  • "Wonderful property with all the amenities required for a great stay."

Modern, spotlessly clean, great location and communicative, helpful hosts meant that we could explore the Cotswolds in comfort. With local stores on the door step was also super convenient. We will be returning and I would have no hesitation in recommending Beau’s House to anyone seeking a superb property and location, ideal for exploring the Cotswolds.

Thank you for your feedback greatly appreciated, we are pleased to to hear you enjoyed your stay and exploring the Cotswolds, we look forward to you returning thanks again for the positive feedback. Kind regards Helen Property Owner

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

Fully equipped with everything we needed. The welcome Panettone was a lovely touch. Nice, modern decor and furniture, and good quality bedding. The house was spotless. The location was excellent for exploring the Cotswold villages. The Co-op across the road was very convenient. A Christmas tree would have been a nice addition, what with it being December. Very pleased to have found such a nice property that accommodated us and our dogs. We would definitely visit again. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Thank you for this lovely feedback following your stay at Beau's House. We're so glad you found the property to be well equipped and comfortable. We look forward to welcoming you again. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "House was in a perfect location for walks with dogs and all the tourist destinations."

It was warm, comfortable and perfect for all our needs. Just a couple of things to mention in that towel rail in main bathroom wasn’t working and shower in main bathroom pressure too low. Other than these minor snags we loved it so much that we have already booked a return stay.

Thank you for providing this feedback and we're delighted you enjoyed your stay, and loved the location too. Thank you also for bringing a couple of issues to our attention which have been passed on to the Property Manager. We look forward to your return visit. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Need MUCH MORE Information please- your welcome pack is a collection of tourist leaflets about the area."

The only house info in there (buried in the middle) is the Wi-Fi code. We found the heating extremely tricky to operate. The house was cold when we arrived and it took us a stressful while to sort it. Info about recycling- none supplied, no sign of any bins or bags to separate cardboard etc. couple of electric sockets are loose in the wall, bit scary. Dangerous? Please check urgently

Thank you for your feedback. We always welcome suggestions. Our Managed Services Team will investigate all the items you mentioned. We hope you enjoyed your stay. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Great property in a great location."

Very clean, very well equipped and very comfortable. Only slight negative was there were no bins for either general waste or recycling. Otherwise a fabulous property ideal for exploring such a beautiful part of the country.

Thank you for your comments. We have asked our Managed Services Team to check for the bins. We hope you enjoyed your stay. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Great property, good location for all areas, walks and tourist attractions."

Coop store and chemist literally right opposite so no need to bring shopping. Beds really comfy, well equipped kitchen. Dining room chairs could do with screws being tightened. Also a folder with local info and user instructions for items in home would be useful. Would book again if returning to area.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are so pleased you had a lovely stay. We will most defiantly attend to the chairs and print off some new local information. Best Wishes, Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "We were very impressed with everything available in the kitchen."

Plenty of utensils etc. There was even some milk in the fridge and biscuits left for us. All the beds were comfortable. The location was perfect for us to explode the Cotswolds. We were a 20-30 min drive to everywhere we wanted to visit. The only issue we had is that we did not find the armchairs or sofa comfortable to sit on in the evening. If I was being really picky, I would recommend they put some hooks up for the hand towels in bathrooms and toilet roll holder. We would happily come back and stay again.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your time away and we appreciate your suggestions for improvement. We hope to welcome you again one day in the future. Best wishes, Manor Cottages. Property Owner

About the location

BOURTON-ON-THE-WATER

Stow-on-the-Wold 4 miles; Moreton-in-Marsh 8 miles; Chipping Norton 13 miles; Cheltenham 15.5 miles.

Located in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the historic village of Bourton-on-the-Water dates back to Neolithic times with over 100 buildings being Grade II listed or higher. The picturesque high street nestles alongside the River Windrush over which several low stone bridges span, which is why Bourton-on-the-Water is known as the Venice in the Cotswolds. Tradition states that an annual football match is played in the summer, in the River Windrush with the banks lined with spectators, with the aim to score as many goals as possible and get as wet as possible! The village has an eclectic range of visitor attractions, including The Model Village, Cotswold Motor Museum, Birdland Park and Gardens as well as a Dragonfly Maze, monthly farmers’ market as well as many tea rooms, an artisan bakery, antiques and craft markets, traditional sweet shop, cycle hire and its very own perfumery. Nearby, Stow-on-the-Wold, originally an Iron Age Fort, epitomises traditional England. This ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly farmers' market. The vast market square boasts an ancient cross at one end and the village stocks at the other, surrounded by an elegant array of Cotswold stone townhouses, antiques shops, tea rooms, traditional pubs, award-winning restaurants and its very own cricket museum. Also take a visit to the medieval town of Burford for a great day out where you can enjoy a trip to the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens. The Saxon market town of Moreton-in-Marsh and the quintessential English village of Broadway are both within easy reach and make a great day out. The spa town of Cheltenham is, architecturally, the most complete Regency town in England with an incredible range of shops, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and pubs, it is famous for its horse racing festival in March, culminating in the Gold Cup steeplechase. Oxford, the oldest university city in England and sometimes called The City of Dreaming Spires has an abundance of prestigious attractions, including the 38 colleges of the university (half of which date back before 1600), the oldest university teaching room, the Bodleian Library, Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers Museums, and Botanic Gardens. Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath, Worcester and the waterfront city of Gloucester are also all within easy reach.
