  • "We had a brilliant relaxing week staying at Robellen Corner."

The property is easy to find with off road parking. Inside is warm, clean and comfortable, the bed was really excellent, the kitchen well equipped and the lounge provided a relaxing space. We liked the large enclosed garden and it was a very quiet location. Karen has thought of everything you could need and it was lovely to arrive and find a welcome note , some home made cake as well as eggs, milk and bread The village of Adderbury is really pretty, there are bus stops, shop, cafe and pubs within easy walking distance. A good central location which enabled us to visit lots of lovely places within less than an hours drive. We visited two National Trust locations, Stowe Gardens and Upton House. In addition we pre booked Bletchley Park and Blenheim Gardens. We took the bus into Oxford and it was cheaper to buy a single £2 fare than a return ticket. The whole experience was fantastic in every way and we would highly recommend our host and this lovely property.

Beautifully presented and very clean. An excellent location for walks to a lovely village with shop, cafe and pubs. A £2 bus ride takes you to the centre of Oxford. Karen was could not have been more helpful, although everything went smoothly, I knew she would help if it was needed. The welcome pack was delicious!

  • "Our stay in Robellen Corner in Adderbury was wonderful."

The owner was helpful and communicative. The property was immaculate, the beds were comfortable and the garden was a pleasure. We were welcomed with eggs, milk, bread and delectable treats, which were gratefully received after a long day. The home is well equipped with everything one would need. For those with physical challenges, note that both bedrooms are upstairs and the shower/tub combination has a tall-sided tub. Robellen Corner is a delightful property that's exceptionally well appointed. We recommend it without hesitation and are very much looking forward to our next stay!

  • "A beautiful, cosy home, in an ideal location for exploring the surrounding area."

A lovely garden to enjoy a morning breakfast in the summer sunshine or to kick back and chill with a beer or glass of wine in the evening . Really good transport links for bus or train. The host was lovely and lives nearby, should there be an issue. A very welcoming village with everyone so friendly. Have had a most wonderful week here.

  • "Our stay was amazing from the first to the very last day."

It started with welcome gifts that were so sweet & we devoured them :) Karen is such an amazing host and available should you need anything or have a question. She has truly thought of everything you may need during your stay. The place was so clean when we arrived. The entire place was spotless. It was the perfect space for me, my husband , and our two small kids. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals and plenty of room to do so. The bedrooms were spacious and the bedroom with the closet (pink decor) had enough room for the pack n play which was great. The beds were extremely comfortable and she has nice linens as well. The bathroom tub was a great size to bathe the little ones and the shower was nice and hot. We loved being able to relax in the cozy living room after a long day. Probably our favorite feature of the place is the beautiful garden. We spent many nights having dinner out on her lovely table and the kids would run around and play. It’s gated so you don’t have to worry about the kids running off. The birds you can hear in the morning having a cup of tea are so lovely. The area is very safe and has very nice neighbors. We were able to get to the town very easily. The coach and horses & red lion are less than a 5 minute walk and there’s also a small grocery store in walking distance down by the bell. Should you need the catch the bus, there is also a very close bus stop as well. This place has anything you could possibly need for a lovely weekend in Adderbury. We will certainly be back. If you’re searching for a place just take our word for it , stop your search, and book Robellen!

  • "We enjoyed our holiday in this comfortable and beautifully maintained house."

Thanks for the welcome pack. The only area which possibly could be improved was the lighting in the lounge. We found the lighting cosy for watching TV etc but not very good for reading.

  • "Very comfortable and cosy property with some lovely homely touches."

Really enjoyed our stay. Used the local bus to go to Oxford very convenient, also visited a couple of National Trust Houses. Two good pubs in the village but very different one very good with average prices and excellent food, the other very cheap with good portions of plain food and a very friendly and helpful landlord.

Thank you so much for the review, I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay at Robellen. The landlord you are referring to is called Tony, he will be delighted with your review. I’m glad you got out and about it’s a great starting point for lots of attractions locally Warmest Karen Property Owner

  • "We were looking for a short term layover for a few weeks for when we bought our home sweet home, and thought we'd give Robellen House a go."

We were in for a complete treat! Everything about this place is brilliant, from the property, it's location and the host. The house itself is a lovely little corner tucked away in an idyllic village not too far from amenities( so theres a great Morrisons less than 10 minutes away, and also a Sainsbury's nearby). The place is designed amazingly well, and so always feels 'like home' which is great- the wife took quite a few house design ideas from it. Its airy and light I'm the daytime and quite warm and cozy at night. The kitchen is a pleasure to work in and the garden is massive and great for a game of footy with the toddlers. Theres some indoor games as well for when it rains and the host has a great TV set up with a choice of TV ranging from marvel movies to documentaries. Adderbury is a lovely, quaint village but isn't too far from the takeaway ( our favourite was the Banbury spicy kebabish in town ). There are lovely country walks around the area some of which lead to a nearby lake. The north part of the Cotswolds is only a short drive away and made for some memorable family trips. There's a spot in the driveway to park and there's plenty of space to park nearby The host, Karen, is brilliant and honestly we couldn't thank her enough for her help through our stay. She lives nearby so was always at hand to help if needed but never in an interfering way. She went out of her way several times to help us in the 3 weeks or so that we ended up staying: At one point the little ones broke some things (as they do) and the wife started to panic (as she does!) But Karen really took it in her stride and actually reassuring us and working out solution, making is truly feel looked after, which is a rare solace in these times. Overall this place is a rare gem and we'd thoroughly recommend this little corner- we will certainly be visiting again the next time we wish to explore the Cotswolds.

  • "Robellen Corner is a small but well-equipped house, making for a comfortable stay."

It is within walking distance of 4 pubs and easy driving distance of some interesting places to visit. The garden is a delight (although some sun loungers wouldn’t go amiss as the weather was great) and we even had a hedgehog shuffle pass one evening. A bit more information/leaflets on places to explore would help but all-in-all this is a good base for exploring the area with a friendly host. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
