  • "Well equipped clean quite comfortable accommodation."

Well placed for the town centre, no need to use the car. Instructions for using the cooker would be helpful. Would definitely recommend the property.

Thank you for your feedback, and we are delighted that you would recommend Wren Cottage. We note your suggestion with regard to instructions for the cooker and have already put this into action for the next guests! Best wishes, Helen Property Owner

  • "Just returned from a perfect stay at Wren Cottage."

A great little find for exploring the area, with its own designated car parking space and a neat garden with outside furniture. Beautifully decorated with quality linens and towells , well equipped and extremely cosy and comfortable . Welcome pack of milk, tea and coffee pods gratefully received. Easy 20 minute walk into Stratford town centre either by road or along the river where we found many shops, cafés and restaurants. We have stayed in numerous cottages over the years and Wren Cottage is by far one of the best. Highly recommend

Thank you so much for the amazing review and recommendation Jenny! We're always delighted to receive glowing feedback, and to know that guests have enjoyed their stay at Wren Cottage. Very best wishes, Helen Property Owner

  • "We wanted to meet up with friends who live at the other end of the country and visit the theatre in Stratford, so Wren cottage - only a leisurely 10 minute walk from the RSC and town - was perfect for us for our short break together."

The cottage was absolutely lovely and spotlessly (I don't use that word lightly, it really was) clean, very well-presented and very comfortable. It has a lovely little garden and we were sorry not to be able to use it (if you visit in Ffebruary, as we did, it's unlikely, isn't it?!). The beds were extremely comfortable, the house was very warm and our friend who is disabled appreciated the lovely walk-in shower. A designated parking space was very nice to have and our friends were able to park in the parking area opposite (which is ordinarily limited to two hours) using their blue badge. We had a fantastic time at Wren cottage and recommend it for anyone who wants somewhere more comfortable to stay than a hotel.

So lovely to read your absolutely glowing review of Wren Cottage - thank you Helen. It really means so much to us to know that our guests enjoyed their stay! We’d love you to come back, perhaps when the weather is warmer so you can enjoy sitting in the garden… Best wishes, Helen Property Owner

  • "Perfect little bolt hole in a good location."

Quiet and comfortable with designated parking (always a boon in Stratford). Would stay again. Only problem related to information Sykes Cottages sent - there’s a star in the key code for access, and it was much tinier print than the rest of the code, so I didn’t spot it and had to call the owner. Could and should be easily remedied by Sykes.

Dear Hilary, thanks for your lovely review of Wren Cottage. We’re delighted that you had such an enjoyable stay and hope to return. We have asked Sykes to display the access code more clearly for future guests, though of course we are always happy to help in the event of any difficulty. Very best wishes, Helen Property Owner

Thanks Paul and Sara. We’re glad you had another lovely stay, and hope you enjoyed the Prosecco and flowers we left to mark your third visit this year! You mentioned to us that the front door key was sticking: we have replaced the key and everything is now working perfectly. As you know, we try very hard to keep Wren Cottage in tip top condition for our guests. We look forward to seeing you again next month! Property Owner

  • "Wren Cottage is absolutely beautiful - it has been very tastefully furnished and equipped and is spotlessly clean."

Our hosts could not have been more helpful and friendly - they live round the corner and they made us feel that if we had an issue they would be straight round. The cottage is in a great location - quiet but only a 10 minute walk to the town centre, the river and the theatre. We would very much recommend a drink at The Garrick (the oldest pub in Stratford), a meal at Lambs on Sheep Street and of course a trip to the theatre. We would definitely recommend this cottage and very much hope to return.

Thank you Elizabeth for your lovely review, and we are delighted that you chose Wren Cottage for your special occasion. Thank you also for your great recommendations to our future guests, and we hope to see you again in the future. Best wishes, Helen Property Owner

  • "Had a really nice stay at Wren Cottage."

It had a nice homely feel and within good distance of the town. First thought it looked a bit out of the way on the map but it really wasn't, it was merely a short walk. Had everything we needed and was just right for our break in Stratford. Only little nit picking would be having to do chores before leaving I.e. putting a wash on, stripping bed etc. A few cobwebs here and there but mostly very clean and tidy. Boiler a bit noisy in main bedroom. Thanks

Very glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the location ideal. With regard to our polite request regarding the laundry, this is in line with Sykes' recommendations and Covid guidelines. We take care to present the property in a spotless condition for guests and I can only apologise if cobwebs were missed on this occasion! Some noise from the boiler (which was new in 2022 and is sited in the kitchen) is probably unavoidable; however on request we can reset the heating to come on later in the morning to avoid any possible disturbance. You can easily walk into the town to many cafes, shops and restaurants. The property is presented to a very high standard and everything has been thought of for a fantastic stay; nothing has been left out. Even a dedicated parking space is provided. The property is also exceptionally clean and fresh. During our recent stay we had a very small issue and the owners responded within 10 minutes and had it fixed within 30 minutes. We hope to return to Wren Cottage in the future and thanks again Nick & Helen.

  • "No instruction manual for TV."

Netflix operating in a foreign language which we were unable to alter. Both ceiling lights in lounge were too low. I am 6' tall (not excessive) and repeatedly had to "duck" to avoid hitting my head often unsuccessfully. No shaving light in bathroom. Garden gate which is described as the rear fire escape, was locked, with no key for us. It would have been nice to know that there were houses being built (noisily of course) towards the rear of the property.

Disappointed that you didn't contact us during your stay; we are always on hand to help, and your issues with the tv and gate could have been sorted for you. Happily no other guests have been disturbed by noise from the building of two new houses some distance away, and in fact many comment on the lovely quiet location of Wren Cottage. As hosts, we are passionate about providing a great experience to all our guests and we work hard to keep the standard high. All constructive feedback is valuable to us, and thankfully our other reviews have been highly complimentary. Property Owner

Disappointed with lounge as felt it appeared like a waiting room rather than a lounge. A bit set as a scene for photo rather than homely. Sofa not really for relaxing in for two. Otherwise was ok. The bedrooms were very good and bed comfortable and bedding was lovely.

Thank you for your feedback, and really happy that you loved the bedrooms and the lovely Egyptian cotton bedlinen! We’re sorry to hear that the sofa didn’t provide what you wanted; it is only a two seater as we wanted space to include two armchairs for guests to relax in as well. • "We stayed at the very pretty Wren Cottage, in March."

It was so lovely from start to finish. It appeared to have been recently renovated throughout with a new kitchen with new crockery and utensils, a new shower room, carpets, decoration and all new high quality furniture. It was immaculately clean and very well set out and provided a cosy very comfortable holiday home. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The dishwasher was very handy and so too was the washer dryer. The lounge/diner was well set out with comfy seating and a dining table and chairs with patio doors leading out to a very private paved garden. The main bed room had a king size bed (which was extremely comfortable) and had good quality bedding and sheets and a very handy walk in wardrobe with plenty of new wood hangers and lots of room. It also had a dressing table/drawers with a mirror and an electric plug near, so as you could dry your hair (which was welcome as many properties do not proved this as the plug sockets are no where near a mirror). The 2nd bedroom was small and only had a set of drawers with hanging room of the back of the door. It again had good quality bedding and sheets. The bathroom was very nice and the shower was powerful and the hot water was plentifull. Wren cottage was situated in a quiet area and very easy to find. The private parking was at the rear of the property and so convenient. Wren cottage is only 10 mins flat walking into the centre of Stratford Upon Avon or 15 to 20 mins flat walking via the river and parkland to the centre. I would highly recommend Wren cottage and hope to go back in the future.

Thank you so much Susie for your lovely feedback. We work hard to make Wren Cottage a special place to stay, and we are really pleased that you loved it too! The town of Stratford upon Avon has so much to offer and as you say, everything is within an easy walk of the cottage. We would be delighted to see you again in the future. Property Owner
