Across the road from this Carron cottage is the famous Caherconnell Fort; the ancient ring fort is exceptionally well preserved, and offers a visitor centre and popular tea rooms for guests. 30 minutes' drive will take you to the Cliffs of Moher and the beach at Lahinch; with great walking for all abilities, the Cliffs of Moher are ideal for walkers and nature lovers alike, while the seaside resort of Lahinch, with 2km of sandy beach, is perfect for family fun. With walking, cycling, golf and horse riding opportunities in the area, and angling available in Corofin, 8 miles away, this Carron cottage is the perfect base for enjoying County Clare, all year round.
