  • "Lovely location and beautiful property."

However our stay was marred by the large number of feather-filled cushions, upholstery, bearskin rug etc., which unfortunately triggered allergies and resulting discomfort. We decided to cut short our stay by 2 nights as a result. Understand that not all guests will suffer from this issue, but in our case, it pretty much ruined our holiday, so is something that either needs to be addressed, or clearly mentioned in the property description for future guests.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry about the feather cushions as we decided they were a more luxurious option for the property and remain of this opinion. (The Coach House is also used as a family ‘extension’ to our home next door when not rented) We have added a note on the website advising of feather sofa cushions. We were not aware of any early departure. We consider your overall category scores a trifle harsh considering Property Owner

  • "A beautiful property in an excellent location!"

The decor and furnishings are beautiful and it makes for a very cosy and comfortable stay. Having the beach and playground 2 mins away was excellent for our two young boys, but even the garden behind the cottage was gorgeous for a bit of outdoor play. I would definitely stay here again!

Thank you for your positive feedback it is very much appreciated! Property Owner

About the location

RATHMULLAN, COUNTY DONEGAL

Letterkenny 15 miles.

Nestled on the shore of Lough Swilly on the Fanad Peninsula, the quaint village of Rathmullan has a colourful history. It was from here that the last of the Celtic chieftains fled Ireland, now known as the Flight of the Earls, and there is an interesting heritage centre in the village commemorating this vital event in Ireland’s history. This sleepy seaside village offers a variety of local shops and pubs and a long sandy beach ideal for lazy days. The Fanad Peninsula is a haven for walkers, hikers and nature enthusiasts, and boasts a stunning coastline. The summer ferry crosses Lough Swilly to Buncrana, opening up Inishowen and beyond, and it’s only a short distance to the town of Letterkenny.
