  • "Amazing property."

The only thing that let it down was the mattress. It’s so uncomfortable, you can literally feel the springs. We couldn’t sleep, it was that uncomfortable. I’ve seen a really large amount of reviews about a lot of the lodges at Stonerush Lakes of people all saying the mattresses are awful, so it’s a real shame that they don’t change them and invest in good quality mattresses.

Hi Jenny, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We are so pleased to read you loved the lodge. What a shame about the mattress experience for you - I am sorry you had trouble sleeping. We have passed this on to the owner of the lodge. We do hope to welcome you back in the future - Kind regards, Gemma - Charteroak Guest Services. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cabin with a hot tub in a rural setting."

Had everything we could have asked for in equipment. A restaurant and bar on site as well. Can't fault anything about the property.

Thank you so much! We are thrilled to hear that you had a wonderful stay - we hope you choose to come and stay again in the future. Kind regards, Gemma - Charteroak Guest Services. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful time with the whole family."

Beautiful views from the terrace. A great base for trips to various places. I would only improve the floor near the hot tab.

Dear Katarzyna, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We have passed on your feedback to the team. We are thrilled you had a wonderful time and we hope to welcome you back soon. Kind regards, Gemma - Charteroak Guest Services. Property Owner

  • "The property was generally very nice, we only wish the bed was a little softer (but that said we’re used to a much softer bed at home) and the hot tub felt quite exposed towards the rear, where some additional privacy glass or a fence as seen on some other properties would have been welcomed."

Overall it was a very nice place to stay.

Dear Greg - thank you for taking the time to write a review. We have passed on your feedback. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay and we very much look forward to seeing you again soon. Kind regards, Gemma - Charteroak Guest Services. Property Owner

  • "Nice property on a secluded holiday park."

There is an onsite bar and restaurant with a limited menu. The pizzas were very good. The property is a good size and well equipped. There is a nice hottub which is well maintained and keeps a good temperature. The road from the B3359 is very narrow with passing places although it is mot too busy. A good location to visit Looe and surrounding areas of Cornwall.

Thank you so much for the feedback Colin, there is now a brand new menu at our restaurant and we would love to welcome you back. We are so pleased to hear you loved the hot tub. We do love our location here at Stonerush Lakes and it's proximity to reaching so many Cornish gems. We hope to see you again in the future. Kind regards, Gemma - Charteroak Guest Services. • "Beautiful cabin finished to a high standard, hot tub was fantastic and a great way to relax after long walks along the coast path."

Location was great being very close to the amazing Cornish coastline and coastal path, Fowey & Looe are only about 15 mins drive. As this is a new let feel I could give some helpful feedback. There were no logs left and no option to purchase a log pack for arrival. Ether a few to start or offer a purchase pack for arrival as we came on a Sunday and nothing was open. Self catering should be that, but I’d expect in a good self catering (and we have stayed in many) a spare toilet roll, and some basic cleaning supplies, multi surface cleaner etc… certainly don’t want to buy that stuff on holiday, but difficult to keep place clean without any products. Finally the master bedroom skylight needs a shade. This was a absolute nightmare to sleep with and it’s February, come summer, I’d be really annoyed, had to improvise with black bag and blue tac!! Only minor points which can be improved upon and a fantastic place to stay.

Thank you so much for leaving us your thoughts after your stay at 3 Hedgerows Andrew and also for your suggestions, I have passed your comments on to the relevant staff member. I am really happy to hear that you loved the lodge and had a wonderful time exploring the local countryside. I am so sorry that there were no cleaning products in the lodge for your use, this is because of health & safety issues regarding allergies. Hopefully you will be back to see us again very soon! LANREATH

Pelynt 2 miles; Looe 5 miles; Polperro 6 miles.

Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. Polperro is a little further away and is a historic fishing village nestling at the head of a long valley leading down to the sea. With plenty of areas to visit, Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens.
