  • "Wonderful cottage right next to the harbour and the coastal path."

Super comfy bed, real fire, very spacious ...and the Host was extremely helpful and responsive ...couldn't have been more helpful. Great place!

Thank you Fiona for your kind words we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was exactly what we expected it to be in the heart of beautiful Polperro."

The cottage is right near the village centre so nowhere is a long walk. If you know Polperro you will know that space is a commodity and I think whilst space is limited the cottage is well laid out and makes best use of the space available. You should expect a small bathroom and a walk to your car and limited outside space. The cottage is kept minimal and clean and has everything you need. We had an issue with the heaters which was quickly sorted out. I would say that the bedroom gets excessively warm so perhaps that heater should be kept a bit lower. My only criticism is the bed. It is so soft that you both roll into the middle. The bed sheets slide off frequently through the night and the bed is so noisy that even the slightest roll over or cough the frame creaks and moves. Overall the cottage is a good option for a stay in Polperro. If you want luxury then It probably isn’t for you. If you want a clean and tidy base to explore the area near to pubs and restaurants and you don’t mind not having your car outside this is perfect.

Lovely little cosy cottage in the middle of Polperro, fantastic location with nice pubs within walking distance, quite a tight road to drive through the village but easily manageable

  • "The location of the property is great as it is close the harbour and pubs."

It could do with a bit of an upgrade however it was clean and comfortable. Neither my husband or I are large but we found the shower cubicle very tight. The shower itself was not powerful and the higher level of power button did not work. We were unable to get the heater in the kitchen to work.

  • "The cottage was lovely and spotlessly clean and had every facility that you needed."

The beds were supremely comfortable and although the shower room is small, it is adequate. We were ideally situated right in the centre of Polperro but the walk up to the allocated car parking space is particularly steep and would be a problem for anyone with mobility issues, There was no information in the cottage regarding local eateries, places to visit etc. which would have been helpful but overall, I would recommend Teana Cottage to future holiday makers.

Many thanks for your review we are making changes to include a guide for local eateries and places to see. Unfortunately with the parking Polperro is a no car zone. Glad you liked the cottage. Property Owner

  • "Shower leaks to the kitchen ceiling."

I put a few pots on the draining board to catch the water, small droplets but over time the ceiling might sag. Parking space a long way up hill from the Cottage. Unloading and loading was a nightmare, the neighbours will not allow you to park temporarily in front of their garages, and were quite unpleasant! A luggage taxi was mentioned but we were't aware of this when booking?

Thank you for your review and letting me know about the leak. There are directions and what 3 word for directions to parking and a number for the luggage taxi in the listing sorry if this was not clear when booking. Property Owner

  • "Overall, we were very happy with the cottage."

It was well located for access to restaurants, pubs, etc. The facilities in the cottage were fine. There were a few negatives. The bed was unbelievably soft. Some of the descriptions (e.g. the "garden terrace") made it all sound fantastic compared with the reality. Our one real issue is that the description does not mention that the car park location is several minutes walk from the cottage up a pretty steep hill. If we had been a few years older or less fit that would have been a huge issue. Better directions to the car park space would also help; we ended up asking a local shopkeeper for guidance. (Using What 3 Words to provide a location would be good.) Also, it would have been useful before arriving to know that there is a luggage taxi service available from the car park. It would also have helped if we had been emailed to advise us that roadworks were blocking the road between the cottage and the parking space. It was only when we arrived that we discovered there were access problems and since we were unfamiliar with the area we ended up carrying our luggage from one side of Polperro to the other.
