Ash and George are very nice and have thought of everything - plus a few welcome treats. Perfect location for visiting the Quantock Hills, several National Trust properties and taking a steam train ride to Minehead. Would definitely like to stay again in the future.

  • "A lovely spacious cottage with everything you would ever need."

A warm welcome from the owners and some very welcome treats! The lambs in the next field entertained us, but the weather meant that everywhere was pretty muddy. Minehead is not far away and worth an outing for fish and chips! We would definitely recommend staying here

It was lovely meeting you. Yes the weather has been very hard work this winter, with all the mud!!!! So pleased you were able to make the most of your time here and enjoy fish and chips by the sea. Look forward to welcoming you back in the future, when the sun is shining!!! Property Owner

  • "The lodge is perfect for a break away."

Hidden within the Somerset lanes with easy access to the coast and countryside, I spent my days walking and exploring. Dunster is a delightful village and the beach was great for me and the dog. If you are a steam train buff the line runs right by the property - unfortunately there were no trains running in January. The fenced garden was perfect for my dog and it would be perfect in the summer for star gazing. The owners were really helpful, a great goodie pack on arrival and checking that I was OK during storm Isha. They live on site, are available to help but leave you to your own devices. I hope to return when the steam trains are running to enjoy the garden, sunsets, walking the lanes and visiting the coast. If only we could control the weather!

Thank you for leaving such helpful feedback for people to read. It was a shame the weather was not playing ball for your stay!!!! We look forward to seeing you again and meeting your next hearing dog in training, and for the sun to shine on your next stay with us. Property Owner

Watermead Lodge has been furnished very comfortably and the surprise inside the fridge on your arrival shows just how much they want you to enjoy your stay! The garden is really dog friendly and the covered verandah is just perfect to appreciate the countryside. What more can we say other than we would love to come back.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at Watermead lodge."

The hosts were so welcoming and we arrived to scones, Prosecco, dog biscuits and other essentials, which were a lovely touch. The lodge is finished to a really high standard and built by Ash himself; we loved hearing about how he had built it. They have thought of everything that you need there, including a fully enclosed fence around the area which was perfect for our dog. Our dog particularly enjoyed making friends with the sheep through the fence. Really comfortable beds and we made lots of use of the large dining table for a board games night. We didn’t get much chance to explore the immediate area, but it was handy to have a short commute to Minehead and Taunton. We will definitely be back and strongly recommend.

Thank you so much for taking the time to give us such great feed back, it was lovely chatting with you guys and , we loved the artistic comments in our visitors book, gave us a good chuckle !! It was great to meet you all, we look forward to welcoming you back in the future Property Owner
