  • "A clean, well equipped and comfortable house."

Well set out so we didn't all feel on top of each other. Lovely garden and great location for exploring Lyme Regis and the surrounding area. From the house I would recommend taking the River Lim path as a good way to get into Lyme Regis, which is not so steep as the main road!

  • "Got stuck in upstairs bathroom whilst family out."

Handle from inside doesn't move the latch. Had to be rescued by husband on his return from a dog walk. No privacy in bathroom for those sharing upstairs. No switched on freezer so frozen foods delivered by Tesco were unable to be stored. Large fridge freezer in garage was switched off and left with doors open. A freezer is a basic expectation when you pay for a quality cottage

Thank you for alerting us to the issue with the door handle and apologies this happened. The handle has now been repaired. Please can I suggest that if anything is not working correctly that you advise Lyme Bay Holidays immediately so that the maintenance team can put it right for you. The large fridge/freezer in the garage is for guest use. If on arrival the fridge/freezer is not on please turn it on, it will not take long to chill down. Property Owner

  • "Lovely comfortable property, a home from home with everything supplied you could possibly need - this was our second visit."

Great location for walking into Lyme for eats and drinks, dog walking along the pretty river and beach. Quiet and peaceful area.

  • "Excellent accommodation and spotlessly clean."

Kitchen full of everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable beds and sofas. Only very tiny complaint, the Black bin wasn't emptied before we arrived so we struggled with rubbish containment. Other than that, excellent stay.

  • "A comfortable cottage with good beds, sofa, showers, TV and WiFi."

The cottage needs a deeper clean between lets as we found dirty crockery and coins under furniture etc. We felt the housekeeper is not given enough time to do this properly despite the late check in time of 4 pm. As we find with so many cottages it could do with a bit of TLC in places, e.g. replacing the upstairs bathroom door handle etc. The location is good as it is only a 15 minute (hilly) walk to shops, pubs and beach. We had wet weather so sadly didn’t get to use the garden but imagine this does not get a lot of sun but did have a nice table, chairs and bench. The driveway has been poorly designed and we had to park very close to the neighbours fence to avoid scraping the bottom of the car. We drive a normal family saloon and could not understand how this design was ever signed off by the developer. Despite the weather (which no one can predict!) we had a comfortable and pleasant stay in this well equipped cottage.

We're so sorry that you didn't get a chance to use the garden - the weather has been a real mixture! Thanks for letting us know about the door handle and cleanliness issues. We would not wish guests to arrive and find the property hasn't been prepared to a good standard, and would always encourage you to contact us on arrival so that we can put it right for you. We have not received any other comments about the driveway being difficult to use, but will make the owner aware of your comments. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Lyme. • "We were all very happy with our stay at 2a St George’s Hill."

The property was very well equipped, clean and good furnishings. The only gripe we had was the difficulty getting our 1 year old grandson to sleep downstairs with the noisy floor in rooms and hall and the squeaky door handles in the ground floor rooms. We felt they needed a squirt of WD40!

Thank you for letting us know about the door handles, we have arranged for our maintenance team to attend to this. We're glad that you enjoyed your holiday. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

We are very happy you all liked the house. We asked Lyme Bay Holidays to check the TV reception and they reported all TV’s were OK. We are also at the property this week and the TV’s are working correctly. Lyme Bay Holidays have replaced the battery in the bathroom radio. • "This converted bungalow has two large bedrooms and a bathroom with shower upstairs."

There’s also one single bedroom and a twin bedded room downstairs. The twin bedded room really is the only negative point in this house, there is a brick wall very close to the windows which makes the room seem enclosed and dim. I would suggest converting this room into a utility room. I strongly suggest you install a light in front of the garage entrance in the garden. The freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer are in there. I tripped down the stone steps when I went to get something from the freezer. I was stopped by the fence but scraped my heel and got a fright. There is a light outside the sitting room but it doesn’t extend that far. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and a pleasure to cook in, the art works around the house were lovely and the small garden was beautifully laid out and a delight to use. The Wi-Fi and smart tv were excellent and the information folder was very useful and full of thoughtful details.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so pleased you found the house comfortable and well equipped. The property was constructed as a house and has not been converted from a bungalow. Although there is a wall near to the window in the downstairs twin bedded room it is not a 'dim' room and there is plenty of light. The outside lights illuminate the garden and pathway and the switch is located on the wall near the patio doors. More details on the outside lighting can be found in the information folder. Extremely well equipped. Comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the 20 min walk along the river into Lyme. It was good not having to use the car but this might not suit everybody! Thank you. We would not hesitate in returning.

Thank you very much. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back soon. Property Owner
