  • "A really well maintained and modern apartment overlooking the beach."

The accommodation is comfortable and has everything you need, a great place to get away from it all for the weekend.

  • "A lovely and spacious 2 bed appartment with excellent views over the beach and sea."

It's a top floor appartment which gives access to the roof top (we went in a stormy week in March so couldn't take advantage sadly). Parking can be a little tight at the back if youhavea large vehicle, but that's a minor issue. Would highly recommend.

  • "The Chat and call back facility frankly didn't work-the chat agent 'said' they will sort the problems, only to text that I would need to contact the office (this reply came after the office shut-or the agent would arrange a call back-I have now requested THREE call backs-none of which have happened)-the 2nd chat agent did exactly the same- I am still waiting for the call back because I am now interested to see if I am being ignored ?"

I have always highly rated Lyme Bay Customer services, but something has happened maybe the link to Sykes Holidays perhaps ??

Our customer services team did attempt to call you twice on the mobile number provided and left a voice messages asking to call us back and gave opening hours. We are sorry that you experienced issues when trying to report a small maintenance problem. We hope you enjoyed your stay. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "The property was what was expected, yes the back stairs are a little daunting and hairy at times."

The front entrance is not very pleasant, felt little like a residential home. Could not work out which key fitted the Yale on the apartment door. It would be better if they were all labelled as there are a lot of keys??? (So tended to use the back entrance) I would have liked to use the surround sound but was unable to work out how to use it and when I eventually found the instruction folder I still couldn’t work it out. So a quick step by step instruction sheet would be helpful. The back to the remote was no where to be found in the bedroom. A grater and garlic press would be helpful in the kitchen for those of us who like to cook a lot. The roof top and furniture was not as clean as I would have expected on arrival,(appreciate the birds will effect it during the stay. ) There was no signs of anyone coming in to clean it during my stay as was noted in the folder? To my knowledge no one came at anytime to do anything, However, put that all aside, the views made up for any downfalls, absolutely amazing views!! I loved all the lighting in the kitchen too and place was nice and spacious.

The apartment building has a mixture of residential and holiday lets and the communal entrance is managed by the landlords. We will take a look at the set of keys and aim to label them. There should be a grater, so we will organise for a replacement to be purchased. We provide a clean only upon guest departure so are unsure what you refer to within the welcome folder. • "Fabulous location."

Didn't sleep at all well, which impacted on our stay. The beds are very uncomfortable, lumpy pillows gave me neck ache. Extremely hot at night, opened windows but noise from main back road an issue. Top terrace has amazing views, gets very hot needs shade and an upgrade of patio furniture. Only 2 mugs for 4 people for tea. There are a lot of steps as described, makes the views great. Back staircase needs outside lights very hazardous using these when sun goes down and wet.

  • "We really enjoyed our first doggy holiday and will definitely return!"

The views from the apartment were stunning! Local amenities were good with a Tesco a short walk away and plenty of places to eat or takeaway. Surrounding areas and towns close by that we visited were all dog friendly too. Thank you for having us!

  • "Beautifully furnished and fitted and great location."

All in all, we had a lovely break there. Picture showed a cafetiere but none in the kitchen or any other means of making coffee, even though there was ground coffee in welcome pack. Mattresses were a bit basic and really needed a topper at the least. It would be good if the key safe were at the front of the property so you could avoid having to leave via the metal steps at the back (slippery in the rain). We were restricted by the weather, so the only real disappointment was the TV was not a smart tv. Could not link to WIFI and therefore stuck with Freeview.

Thank you for your comments, it's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your holiday. The property did have a grading assessment by an independent assessor earlier in the season, and the mattresses were recorded as good quality. Guests are directed to the key safe at the back of the property as it is close to the parking space. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "Excellent stay wanted for nothing, chilled out on the roof terrace for most of the holiday, roof terrace requires cleaning and tidying up not sure if it is being cleaned every Friday as stated in the visitor book."

Not for the faint hearted with 30 steps to access the apartment.

What a fabulous way to spend your holiday! We are aware that due to the prime seafront location, the terrace is impacted regularly by seagulls, therefore the roof terrace is jet washed and furniture cleaned on each change-over. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "Really great apartment in a fantastic location."

Our daughters and dog loved it, with really good access to other towns like Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. Only downside for us was the main bed was quite uncomfortable!

Thank you for the feedback. We have recently replaced the bed for new. Property Owner

  • "We had a very enjoyable stay."

My only comment is that the keys in the key press could easily be dropped into next door’s garden when accessing or returning them at the end of the holiday.

  • "The Wow factor for the flat is the views!"

From the kitchen and lounge and of course from the lovely roof terrace. Everything you needed was provided for and the welcome pack and milk was a lovely touch. It’s lovely and central to the town and front. The only drawbacks are the parking and the stairs. Both are pointed out in the listing but I think people should be made aware of the limitations. The stairs (front and back) are not for the faint hearted or unfit! The parking space access is very tight, only really useable if you have a smaller car (mine is a Ford fiesta) and if the space is free next to it to allow more manoeuvring. That said, there’s plenty of parking in Seaton and I was a lot fitter after a week of using the stairs

  • "Lovely flat, great views of sea, all that you could ask for."

The roof terrace is exceptionally hot could of done with some sunshade, although I get possibly difficult with seagulls/wind with parasol etc., lovely in cool of the evening. Goody bag was a nice touch. Seaton itself could do with a bit of tlc, maybe 5years time the seafront will have improved. Although dog friendly flat, Seaton itself isn’t very dog friendly, far too much concrete not enough green spaces.
