"This was the best holiday cottage I have ever stayed in."

"This is a great property which is well-appointed and resourced, with a fabulous view over Portland Harbour."
The owner was welcoming and helpful, and parking was easy, with one reserved space and plenty of adjacent on-street parking for our second car at all times.

"Fabulous property."
Pictures do not do it justice. So clean and wonderful to have car parking.

"Amazing setting overlooking Smallmouth Cove, just idyllic to wake up and sit on the bedroom balcony, watching the early morning swimmers and boats."
The home was so lovely, beautifully furnished with high quality appliances - very impressive. The owners lived nearby and were so friendly, offering lots of advice and recommendations if you needed it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. Centrally located to visit lots of places along the coast. Thank you for a fabulous stay. Absolutely beautiful....we will be back!!

"Appeared clean on arrival, on closer inspection noticed hair etc on floor of bedrooms and bathrooms, marks in bath and sinks and a smell in fridge and dishwasher but we were happy to clean it ourselves rather than bother the owner."
Beds were comfortable, although second floor bed felt like a small double and shame the twin bedroom doesn't have a small tv as other two have.
Views were outstanding with fantastic balcony and velux windows, looking out over Portland. Could happily spend hours looking out at that vista!
Perfect location for making use of the bay outside and surrounding areas.
Overall would happily stay here again.
I am pleased you enjoyed your stay but I do wish you had contacted me with your issues on our telephone number supplied in the information pack. With regards to the odour in fridge and dishwasher I can only assume this was the cleaning material used as both were cleaned thoroughly. We do only have 4 TV’s at the property and were advised against putting one in the twin room as this is mostly used by children. There are marks in the bath but these are because it had been chipped by previous guests and we had it repaired professionally but there is a slight difference in colour. The bed in the upstairs bedroom is a 4’6” double I cannot explain the hair you found as great care is taken to thoroughly clean the property after every departure. Regards Paul and Lorraine.

"Perfect place to stay."
The house location couldn't be better, especially to enjoy a daily morning swim. The house is beautifully furnished, a real home from home. Everything you need is provided and the owner is on hand if you need him.

"Would have given a higher rating but for the garden, all the garden furniture needs replacing and patio area needs some maintenance."
A barbecue would also have been a good idea.

"We absolutely loved our stay here."
The property was clean and modern. Loved the balcony and the large velux windows. We loved the close proximity to the beach. Will definitely look to return again in the future.

"The house was lovely and was home from home with everything we needed."
The folder of information was very comprehensive and we found all the answers to any questions we had in it.
Great beach location (which the dog loved), fabbie views for us humans and lots of walks/ place to see on the doorstep .

"Fabulous location."

"The Portland Pebble is a wonderful place to stop, clean, modern and spacious, with all the comforts provided."
Located right by Smallmouth Bay beach, the location and view of Portland Harbour from the balcony is superb. We've stopped here twice this year and cannot recommend it highly enough!

"We had a fantastic week despite the weather."
The house was perfectly located opposite a small bay which was great for our 2 year old granddaughter. The views from the front were stunning.
The house is the best equipped house we have ever rented. We had two small problems with appliances which were rectified within the hour by the agents - fantastic service thank you.
All the beds (new as we could see) as well as the settees were extremely comfortable and we couldn't have asked for more.

"The property was beautiful the location was beautiful we went for a rest but the beds and pillows are knackered."
New mattresses and pillows would have give us all a restful sleep not neck and back aches. We also booked for a 10 month baby but no high chair was provided. We also booked for a 4 year old and there wasn’t any plastic plates or bowls . We had to wash dishes after using dishwasher as it needs a good clean . Apart from that it’s a beautiful home but not for us with a young family. Home now and very tired and ached from the beds

"What a perfect property for six of us."
The teenagers loved the loft and the other bedrooms were great for the parents and grandparents. We were lucky enough to have the bedroom with the balcony - what a beautiful view and lovely to sit in the sun on an afternoon. Downstairs there is plenty of room for everyone to have space. The garden is nice and private for your morning coffee. Easily accessible to Weymouth and a lovely walk if you wish. Thank you for a lovely stay.

"The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped."
We really appreciated the courtyard garden, as we were fortunate enough to have good weather during our stay. Can recommend the Crab House Cafe just over the road if you like fresh fish and seafood.
