  • "We were met by a lovely lady called Kim on arrival, she was very helpful about the area and places to visit during our stay, the property has everything you need for a fantastic stay, very comfortable and spotless, we can't wait to return in the future."

  • "Beautiful location, wonderful cottage but sadly mis advertised as having a king size bed."

It is a small double. Once this issue was pointed out after we had to measure the bed, the owners and Sykes cottages admitted the mistake but were sadly unwilling to offer anything to recompense for 3 nights in a tiny bed. We always check bed size so feel a little misled. Disappointed.

  • "Lovely cosy cottage."

Comfortable and well equipped. Appreciated the welcome pack goodies. Ideal location for enjoying the sights of roaming horses, ponies, donkeys and pigs and for exploring and walking in the New Forest.

  • "The listing stated that a microwave was available but we were not aware of one on our visit unless it was contained within the oven, which seems unlikely."

There could have been a few extra sockets in the main front room as there was only a set to support power to the TV and there was no real room to set up a laptop PC. However, and very much on the plus side is that the property is immaculately maintained and the owners were very helpful and did as much as they could to make our family welcome. A highly recommended property to visit if you want a peaceful location with great views of the New Forest and the surrounding area. Undoubtedly this would be an excellent place to visit in the summer due to the outside seating on the balcony which is spacious.

Place was lovely and had everything we needed. Short walk to pub and a French restaurant. Plus walks straight into the woods.

  • "We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Foxes Earth."

The property was spotlessly clean and has all the mod cons you need to make your stay more comfortable. The owner popped over to make sure we had everything we needed within 10 minutes of us arriving and if we needed anything we could just knock on their door and ask which was lovely. There was a delightful welcoming pack which consisted of a bottle of wine, some beer, chocolate and biscuits. There were also some dog treats for our dog. We made full use of the decking area when the weather allowed us to. I did think by looking at the pictures that we had access to the garden for our dog but it is just the decking area but this was completely my misunderstanding. There is an open space area where you park your car for your dogs to go outside which is completely enclosed and adequate. We went on lots of walks from the property itself and also went further afield in the car and on returning from our walks we used to walk down to the pub for a tipple or two which was great. This is a great place to stay with everything you could wish for in a wonderful area of the New Forest. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

  • "Beautifully appointed property in a lovely peaceful location with easy access to the New Forest area…a trip down memory lane for us having camped at Longbeech and Ocknell sites over several years."

Excellent shower and Kitchen facilities…could perhaps benefit from a Microwave and Coffee m/c for some but not an issue for us. The Food at the Lamb Inn does not disappoint . The Welcome pack was much appreciated. Thank you Kim and Chris!

  • "A lovely accommodation, which we found extremely well presented throughout."

A warm welcome from Kim & Chris along with a handy welcome pack including a bottle of wine and 2 beers!. Very quiet location, which we found ideally situated for our daily excursions. A local pub only 3 doors away was most welcome on our first evening after a torturous journey took longer than expected. The 2 bedrooms are light and airy with 2 big Velux windows. During our stay the blinds were waiting to be fitted. The information pack would benefit from some places of interest to visit or recommended restaurants/pubs. We found The Royal Oak at Fritham (15 mins drive) excellent. Serving a variety of amazing Ploughman’s lunches and a very reasonable price. Also on a wet day we discovered The Buckler’s Hard Museum & Historical Village. Excellent.

  • "Beautifully appointed little cottage that was perfect for my wife and I, along with our 3 year old daughter and Maltese dog."

The owners had obviously put some care and thought into the property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay from Friday to Monday over the August Bank holiday weekend. The location was perfect for Peppa Pig World and the ponies, donkeys and cows wandering around in the village were a delight. A lovely pub and French restaurant were just 2 mins walk away. Highly recommend this accommodation.
