  • "Lovely apartment."

Much more spacious than the photos show. Great view!

  • "It was everything we wanted, it was a couple of nights away with some friends."

We had a walk around the marina/harbour and found some lovely antique places also some 2nd hand ones too they we're so interesting and so much memorabilia from years past. The only thing I would say is the garage could do with a light in it, when we arrived it was dark and raining so it took a bit of time to put the car away, also I would make sure to who ever stays there gets the garage dimensions as we had to take my friends smaller car as mine and my other friend's would not have fitted in.

Thank you.. It’s good to hear that you enjoyed your visit. These garages have no electricity, but are thinking of ways of dealing with this. The garages were Morris Travelledon’t have electricity. However your commentsHowever, your comments have Property Owner

Thanks for sharing. Myself and daughter had a lovely few days away.

This means that if one person wants a lie in and another wants to go out early then it creates an issue.

  • "Perfect sea view location."

Kitchen equipped extremely well. Bathroom fan unpleasantly loud. Disappointed to discover we needed to pay £15 a day to park our car, as the allocated garage not big enough. Mildly surprised as I specifically spoke to Sykes, to be reassured that the garage would not be a problem. The property information folder should be updated to reflect the increase of daily parking from £2 to £15.

If a washing machine can be provided, it would be prefect.

Planning on putting in washing machine early 2024. Will probably utilise cupboard next to kitchen . With condenser for drying. Property Owner

  • "A very well equipped apartment in a superb location."

Generously sized rooms with the added bonus of a balcony overlooking the sea which could be enclosed with glass doors at night or in bad weather. There was a very minor issue of a broken curtain rail in the living area, and parts of the apartment block were beginning to show their age. However, these did not detract from our overall experience and we would happily stay here again as well as recommending others to do so.

We are over 70 and really enjoyed this apartment. The votes towards the sea from the covered balcony were amazing. The apartment was clean and very well equipped. Easy to setup wifi connection. Would highly recommend.

  • "The location was beautiful and provided a truly relaxing atmosphere."

The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped for self-catering. However, there were a couple of minor issues. The bathroom fan was somewhat noisy and could benefit from a replacement. Additionally, the door to the second (twin) bedroom would sometimes blow open due to the windows being open, so a doorstop or wedge would be helpful. However these were minor niggles - overall, I highly recommend this apartment for its picturesque location, ample space, cleanliness, and comfort. It also had the best and most varied set of books on the bookshelf that I've ever seen in a holiday let! It was a truly lovely experience, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

  • "Loved our stay at this property."

Thankyou. 2 small flights of stairs up to apartment. Wonderful space and bright and airy ... A very well equipped kitchen. Clean bathroom, adequate shower. Comfy living area. Situated right on beach front. Public transport outside the George Pub makes it easy to explore other towns on the coast, cheaply too, without using the car. Would definitely recommend and return. Only negative point is that the double bed was too soft for us, but that's just personal choice, also the outer balcony doors didn't lock. (But not really much of a safety problem to us.)

We're pleased that you had an enjoyable stay. Thank you for notifying us about the balcony door lock, we will arrange to take a look at this. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "The flat was clean, spacious, well equipped and in a great location and we enjoyed our stay."

However with a few minor tweaks it could be made even better: 1. Replace the slightly malfunctioning shower head or at the very least clean the scale from the existing one so it works properly. 2. Make it clear in the flat details that there is no parking space and no washing machine (or install one - did not impact us, but seemed odd that in such a relatively spacious flat there wasn’t one) 3. Do something to address the unpleasant smell in the common stairwell. Not sure of the source, but this doesn’t give a good first impression of the flat

  • "We have just returned from a lovely weekend at the Old Shipyard."

The flat is very light and spacious with a wonderful view of the sea. It was very clean and warm and had everything we needed. We especially liked sitting in the enclosed balcony watching the rough sea and walking to the nearby pubs and cafes for dinner/coffee. We would say that if you have young children the larger balcony could be a bit dangerous as they could slip down between the building and railing but as we didn't have children with us that didn't affect us. Our car also didn't fit in the garage and we had to park a little walk away but there are plenty of long stay car parks a 5 min walk away. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. The garages were built in the 60’s when cars were narrower. We have had a few scrapes and sometimes I just tuck the tail in and leave the front of the car sticking out. Will check whether the gap can be made safer. Thank you for such positive feedback. • "We stay most years in this apartment , and enjoy it's comprehensive home comforts and glorious location ."

Everything is usually perfect , but the bathroom or to be specific , the toilet needs urgent attention. It seems to be leaking from the soil pipe or the collar attached to the toilet , creating a very unpleasant smell , which cannot be cleaned up, and pervades the whole area. I hope there can be a quick solution and that we can book again next year.

  • "We had a lovely week here."

The location is excellent for beach access and the accommodation was very well equipped, particularly the kitchen. We liked the sun terrace. The building is old, but the apartment was comfortable and the view fabulous. We would have liked a washing machine and there are a few minor points needing attention (bathroom mirror damaged at top corner with sharp edges and some electrical sockets/switches loose or damaged) but overall would definitely recommend.

  • "We really liked staying in this accommodation for its size and location."

Traveling with two small children, it had plenty of space and the toys and games were a nice touch. The welcome pack was also very much appreciated. Two things I would feedback on are some lighter duvets or quilted throw option for the summer months, the bed was very comfortable and cosy but very hot. It also could do with a deep clean, it was extremely dusty under the bed side tables, the bath didn’t drain very well due to hair in the drain and the toilet wasn’t thoroughly cleaned when we arrived and had hair around the seat. These two things were a shame as it was otherwise a great place to stay.

  • "A great location within easy walking distance of harbour, beach, and cliff walks."

A lovely spacious apartment with a sea view. Well equipped and welcome pack appreciated. On arrival smell in the hallway was off-putting. The apartment is a little tired looking. The distressed wardrobe in the 2nd bedroom is bulky and occupies too much space. The double mattress in the main bedroom is uncomfortable. However, these things didn't stop us from enjoying our 3-night stay and I would definitely return.
